Media Buying Question?

I have a campaign set up my first media buy and testing some banner ads. I have 5 ad copy and using 10 different images mixed up to see what works.

Any recommendations on how many impressions without clicks to then start dropping the ads that aren't performing?

The most common rule of thumb is to go with at least 1000 before dropping anything. If there are no clicks are with at least 1000 impressions, drop it.

You can also make these adjustments while having in mind the offer you're promoting, the payout, and the conversion rate.

Here's an example: you're promoting an offer that pays $1 that usually converts at 20%, and you're paying $1 CPM for your traffic.

That means, in order to be profitable you'd need to be paying per click less than $0.20, in order to achieve this you'd need a ctr of over 0.50%, consequently you could start removing the bad ads after 200 impressions.

Just one advert not rotating and it has a CTR of 1.6% last time I checked

To me it depends on the payout of the offer, I'll typically let it run to approximate 70-90% of what the offer pays then if no conversions I will pause/stop it

1000 - 2000 impressions. Are you testing this over multiple sites or just one?

Yes, testing on 4 sites with similiar demographics. I narrowed down to 2 banners that are converting at .66% and .57%. My CPC is around $0.43.

I am running a funnel and now after banner testing, the results show my squeeze page is not converting that well. Only 3 opt ins so next step is to test another squeeze and capture some more emails.
