Hi

Typically in the uk how long does it take for a new campaign to go from eligible to approved?

It's different all the time, sometimes your Ad will be approved within minutes, sometimes it can take hours, days. It all depends. Don't delete it and make a new one, just wait it out. The more "approved" ads you have and have had, the quicker your new ads will get approved. (not proven but seems to work that way)

Confirmed! If your account is not a new one (less than 2 weeks old) and you have several ads approved and running, the new ads will be approved almost immediately.

I just started adwords myself, although I had an account for some time now. My ad got approved within minutes of creating it. I never had ads before.

I'm assuming a text ad campaign? Normally within 12-24 business hours, if its image ads double or triple that

Thanks guys I'm finding it about 20 minutes. I'm making the move from doing organic seo to Ppc seo got clients and new to this only started yesterday so thanks for the feedback.

I find at the moment I've got an ad showing on page 1 but it's only got a quality score of 3. I'd like to crack the yellow box at the top but read you need a 7.

Do you have any tips on improving he score I've googled it and I have matched up best I can ad content with the landing page.

I've kept my ad keywords to just short tail 2 word ones but restricted it to a particular area. I find long tails gave me lower scores of 2 and the ads wouldn't run/show

Can anyone give me any tips on this?
