80,000 impressions for 20$ ...what do you think ?

Hi Warriors,This is my first thread on Warriorforums.

I'm quite new to affiliate marketing.I've experience with Cpa networks, but now i've decided to give affiliate marketing a try.

I've done quite a lot of research on this, spent almost 2 weeks researching on this for over 4 hours continuously daily. Now i believe i know enough to start implementing things.

So here's my plan:

I'm thinking i should promote recipe, cooking book products from Clickbank.I know a site where i can find targeted traffic. It will be a banner ad.They are providing CPM rate 0.25$ for 1000 impressions.

The minimum package starts from 20$ for 80,000 impressions.Which i think is quite reasonable.

Do you guys think this will work ? Will i be able to get any sales or atleast 3-4 sales maybe ?

The avg. CTR for display is about 0.2, so you can expect to get around 80 clicks.

I doubt you will get 3-4 sales from that....

You might break even and possibly make a little, depending on how the conversions go. Worst case scenario, you're out $20 and some time while gathering some data for future consideration.

You'll need to test a few banners to get one that hits with a high CTR.

That can be the difference between 80 clicks and 160 clicks.

Don't just throw this at the wall and see if this sticks.

Commit to it and do proper testing. That is my best advice.

Like I always say, you will never know until you try, but you may need to spend more then $20 to get enough data to see if your campaign is going to work, it all depends on your offer, niche, ads, etc.

Make banners that are similar to the placements you choose.
The question isn't 80k impressions for 20$. Its about targeted traffic.

Keep a clear and concise ad copy. And a weird image along with the ad copy and combine it in a banner. You should manage a high CTR.

    For example ---

Suppose your placement is a Lakers site and your offer is a weight loss offer,
Use something like this -" laker fan loses 7Lbs in 2 weeks using this weird diet"
And use a crazy fan photo.

    Make in different sizes.

Make sure the impressions are "above the fold". If there are 300X250 banners, you should try them as well. They often work better.
