TrafficJunky VAT for signup

Hey Warriors, I have a dating squeeze page and offer that I would like to advertise and TrafficJunky is looking like a good site to use but the sign up asks for a VAT number, I don't have one, does anyone know how to get this in the UK?
I Googled it but it seems like I need to be a business owner then apply and even then I might not get one.
When I was looking for good advertising sites I seen a lot of people talk about TrafficJunky but no one mentioned the VAT number thing, is this maybe a USA only site?
Thanks for nay help on this, I will contact TafficJunky too but I assume I will not get an answer until tomo and want to get this set up today or choose another site if I can't use them.

    This is an Europe only thing. You can earn a small amount legally without owning a business but I strongly suggest you to register one if you aim any higher.

    You need to start a business to get a VAT number. If you are planning to earn more than 8,500€ per year you are required to pay taxes and hence you need a VAT number (example amount is from Finland, the exact amount varies from country to country). Registering a simple trade name (sole proprietorship) will do just fine and is cheap to set up, about 100€ to register.

    When you have a business name, remember that you'll get tax returns from everything you buy for your business like computers, equipment, services etc.
