What % of visitors turn into a lead?

Hey guys,

Just curious for the fellas doing SEO to their CPA offers.

What percentage of your website/blog visitors are turning into a lead?

I'm consistently getting 6-7% of total website visitors clicking over to the landing page and filling out the form.The landing page is 5 fields (Name, Zip, Phone Number, Email, DOB)

I can actually look at my traffic stats and multiple that by .065 and get a pretty darn accurate idea of how many leads I generated for that particular day.

I was just wondering if it should be higher, if this is a good, if there's a standard to shoot for, etc.

That sounds pretty decent for SEO, but everyone niche is different, the is not set conversion rate.

How many different things have you split tested that is the real question?

I test something every week.

I've tested...

Links in Navigation bar, links above blog posts/pages, banners at the end of the page, links in the sidebar, exit pop-ups as last-ditch attempt to get them to turn into a lead, I've tested it all!

As Greedy said, there is no set conversion rate... and it really depends on the offer, page copy, traffic source, and other factors. Of course, if you're already getting "free" traffic via SEO; I'd find ways to get even more traffic and give myself a pay raise
