How I make at Least 3 Times Profit With CPA/Own Products - Offline Advertising

For those that don't know about this, I suggest you should read. But, for those who do then please, share your tips as this could help a lot of people.

Now, I could of written and sold you an ebook at a measly $17. Instead, I've created another prooduct that's floating round the net for a lot more. So, consider yourself lucky! lol.

The basic principle is offline advertising. From experience (a lot of experience) I make AT LEAST 3 times more on any cpa offer through offline advertising.

What is offline advertising?... It's a 'normal' way of advertising, i.e. not on the internet. So this will include things like advertising in the paper, billboards, leaflets, posters, direct mail and whatever you can think of.

I guess this is more a piece of advise to say take advantage of the credit crunch recession and haggle a good price for some offline advertising. For example; I recently got a full double page colour spread for £70 so just under $100!! Simply because, no one else wants to advertise at the minute due to businesses tightening up! This was for a week period as well. But, it's a big paper, a local one in London, but a big one which is great.

Even if you get a little square in the classified ads from your paper, then I reckon you'll make some money. You can buy this for about £5 / $7. Obviously, the more people you hit, then the more it will be. But, be ruthless and haggle, they want your business remember. Be stern!

If you're not making any money through adwords, any other PPC or PPV then you should definately give this a go.

Let me know what you come back with...

Good Luck!!

    One more point -

I had a lot of success with:

Credit score report offers in property magazines (Only in the rental parts because people want to get credit checked. These offers typically pay around the $20)

**** berry offers/Weight loss offers being advertised at my local gym. I would make a poster and some leaflets so that people could take them. Make sure it is known that you are offer a FREE two week (or whatever) trial. You will get more responses.

I made up some leaflets and distributed them at a local mall for a free trial offer.

I also paid a friend to put them in every customer's bag at the shop she worked at!

Also, I paid some dude's at a petrol station some money for every person they got to sign up for a free $500 gas card competition.

So, just think logically, and put it to practise!

      Hi

      Great post.

Almost all of my income is as a result of offline marketing (that is why I am here to try and learn the online stuff).

It is particularly easier living in the UK because we can do leaflet drops very easily (either as a solo ad or as part of a paid for package in unison with distribution companies or inserts in local papers).

I am setting up an experiment showing how easy this can be done for a health niche.

Are you guys directing traffic from the offline source straight to the CPA offer page through re-direct or something?

Or is it more effective to drive them to a blog/presell.

      Yeah, I re-direct everything.

As for the presell page then it does depend on the offer. I know that is a lame answer but it's true.

If the offer looks good then I don't presell. If it needs some touches that haven't been made that clear on the site then I'll do a presell.

Just test mate. But, I normally pick a good offer so I don't need a presell page.

    Hi James

do you recommend any cpa networks that are uk based?

    thanks

Erm not really. I just use US ones with Uk based offers!

If the consumer has to pay shipping and handling then I think it's better that the offer accepts it in £ rather than $.

It shouldnt, but i have had more conversion this way!

    Nice post!

I just started a thread about offlinen to online marketing... This one was already going!

One thing I love about offline to online cpa is that we can help each other much more as it will have a much much harder time getting saturated with competitors.

So what is working guys... Lets have fun with this... Are you guys making money offline to online?

    what are you doing!

    Hey jamesmccoll,

Great Topic, to me it seems everyone is running with the crowds and the new ways of online traffic, instead of looking at the old ways. Many people who due offline marketing, make a load of cash because the competition in running online to try and catch the next best thing. Warriors lets think about this, Market to your local areas folks, you are not limited to just local but just think of the potential of you doing offline marketing in just your area. I mean this is really limitless, CPA offers are the new bread and butter on fast money making ways.

Myself, I will be riding this train all the way to the bank. Where I live there are so many ways to advertise to people offline rather than the local paper. I have many friends who own business and that would be more then welling to advertise for me. Just be creative and think outside the box and for Gods sakes we are in a recession people, there are so many ways to make money with this recession.

More and more people are losing their jobs and seeking to make extra money. There are people who are looking for grants and loans, this is really endless take this opportunity to make your life better and cash in on this recession. Thanks Again James for starting this topic, I fell a lot of great ideas will be born with this one.

    So true!

As for the saturation, I totally agree. Local advertisements will not get saturated because, for me, it is rare to meet some one else in the same area who is into internet marketing!

    Get going!

Great post thanks James, this is an area I've been looking at for the last week or so mainly due to other posts and comments on here.
One thing that concerns me is that you need a really nifty easy to type correctly web address for people to type into their browser.

Any comments? I was thinking of using a 7 letter .com I have and using subdirectories such as xxxxxxx.com/diet..
        Cheers

Yeah you do need a really catchy domain name. I used slimtheuk.com for my last launch. It went quite well.

I don't really use sub directories. Just because not everyone is computer literate. Easier to just keep it simple.

I've been interested in offline marketing...especially innovative "outside-the-box" type marketing. With all the different promotable products out there your options really are endless. I'm trying to think of ways to apply this to my niche now.

    Yes....

You are right with the analogy....but what we need to take into consideration is the offer you need to promote. for those of us that do not reside in the united states/UK would be finding it very difficult to do offline advertisement with CPA because most of these offers are country based most especially the united states....

But sure, if you could find a good offer that does not exclude your country in the campaign areas then cool....offline advertising would be a cool thing for you to target.

For my current project I'm going to be using a mix of offline and online marketing.

The online part will primarily be locally targeted networks, though I will be making use of a site and a variety of social networking tools...though that will be primarily done for seo reasons.

Offline, I'll be hitting the local papers (newspaper, business paper, little nickel, etc. ), putting fliers up on local bulletin boards, sticking a sign up in my front yard, and approaching local businesses who might be willing to hand out fliers for free products which would benefit their client base, but not compete with their core business.

Where I'm at, paper ads are dirt cheap these days...and radio advertisements are not expensive either.

I'm expecting that the offline marketing will be huge compared to the online marketing. In low population areas like the one I live in with dying/dead economies (if you discount city hall and walmart), offline advertising can be amazing...especially if you can start making enough to pay dependable locals to do some of it for you.

you just can't beat anything offline because it's not going anywhere and you see WAY less competition. When you're online you're competing with TONS of other ppl promoting the same exact offer whereas offline I guarantee you that you're the ONLY person leaving a leaflet in the gym linking to the **** offer. People should do it more, but people are too lazy to test it and try which is ok because that's more money for me

    James,

Great post. However, I have also heard that some CPA networks won't allow offline advertising (although, I can't imagine why that would be the case).

How do you get around that problem -- or have you found CPA networks that allows offline ads?

    Thanks,
