Direct linking on facebook?

Is it okey if I direct link a dating offer promoting on facebook ppc or do I need to create a landing page?

And can I do it with a simple url shortener like bit.ly or do I need to use a domain name redirect?

Thanks

You can, depending on the offer, but you will generally have better results using a good lander. Facebook will show the destination url on the ad.

I'm currently doing DL with an adult dating offer.... i.e fling.com etc.

and my ads are being approved. The ones that don't get approved are ones with too much boobs (the ads - not problems with the direct link).

I am doing a redirect tho.... as suggested by Luke peerfly.

IMO you should always at least test with and without a landing page.

Always use your own domain name, control the traffic as much as possible, if you use a url shortener you are placing your trust in them which is something you should not do!

Sometime, you have to know it depends on your CPA networks. Like Peerfly, maxbounty, you cannot use the directing link but you can redirect it. Like CPA game networks IQU, you can use their links on Facebook all the time.

You can go direct, but I would still test a LP.

They always give me better conversions.

Don't use simple URL shortners, use your own tracking.

Otherwise you are just throwing money away.

Can you please explain how exactly it's a waste of money?

Noticed this is a few months old thread, Not sure what "Al amin" intentions were when replying to this older thread and not even answering "Ivelin2008" last question, and sure he has found his answer else where.

        As for DavidLasry,

Its wasting money when using URL shortners, since its a extra redirect steps which take longer to load on your visitors screen.

Run your tracking script on a VPS or dedi, or you will run into the same issue. Better yet if you want fast and free tracking Use bevomedia affportal no hosting needed. I use it and love it. hasn't failed me and able to scale campaigns with unlimited traffic.

Thanks everyone for your answers. I just wanted to know if facebook approves that, using your CPA affiliate links directly in your ads.

I would test one with direct linking and two with two LP variations.

    Thanks

Facebook no longer allows individuals to promote dating. You must be in their white listed advertisers and affiliates in order to promote dating product!

    This is pretty much why...

Also they can drop clicks make loading errors ect.

URL shortners like bit.ly are definitely not the way to go. Your dependency on those free services will end up in a wreck.

I use landingpages for PPV, because the website/offer normally doesn't fit great in a small window.

But for facebook, I would guess the ad itself can be seen as a small landingpage. When people click they are usually interested in the offer.

So what kind of landingpages do you make?

It just feels like an extra step, you already persuade them to click, and now they have to click again.

I know more steps doesn't always mean less conversions, but just wondering what you put on the landingpage.

Is it just some bulletpoints explaining more about the offer and then a CTA with bring me to the offer of something?

you can of course direct link dating offers. Do not go for adult or even close to adult offers. Promote nice and clean offers if you are going to DL.

You may get some adult stuff throw but believe me later they will disapprove those running ads and ban you. It has happened.
