I've recently signed up for POF account to advertise a dating campaign of peerfly. I am a newbie in affiliate marketing, so guys please do tip me what you think about the ad. I've added the adcopy as attachment.

According to my experience, Ads.pof is quit tough for instead of facebook...So migrate your attention from pof to facebook :-)

Hi online4cash, I guess advertising on facebook requires some landing page built up whereas I am trying to learn direct marketing right now. Is their anyway to advertise affiliate links with facebook.

Yes you can, but it requires that you have a domain. Because of all the affiliates out there doing shady shit, many traffic sources don't like specific affiliate links - what you can do is use an HTML or PHP redirect script on a domain that you own.

I couldn't disagree more.. IMO pof is much easier than facebook especially for the dating niche

I am a Canadian freelancer living in eastern-europe, and facebook is extremely harsh on geolocation. I get instant banned just because I am in a different country than my fund source.

Technically this ad violates POF's rules. You aren't allowed to use first-person language, or any language that implies anything about the specific person in the creative. You might get it approved anyway depending on who looks at the ad, but I think you're going to have trouble consistently getting it approved.

In terms of the actual content of the ad...I would suggest working on the ad copy a bit. In my opinion "You can't find me anywhere else" isn't a very strong selling point when there are tons of dating sites with attractive women. Furthermore, I think it draws attention to the fact that it's an ad rather than a real person; real people would be more likely to talk about themselves or the type of person they're looking for, rather than the website they're using.

I'm no expert at this myself, so take my opinion with a grain of salt. Hope it helps.

      This is good advice. Personally...

      - I like the "New"
      - The image needs to be better.
      - The colors need to stand out more.
      - The ad copy text could be stronger like NoobSensei said.

You need to work on your ad copies to make them jump out more, this looks like a plain old dating ad that we've seen over and over again. You need to do something to make the ads stand out more. Also start out with several different ad variations opposed to just one.

Also make sure to read all the posts on the pof ads blog - Ads.pof.com Blog | Your #1 Resource for Advertising on POF!

    That will never work.

    The ad is not good.

It's as generic as they come.

You need to figure out some angles to use and go that route instead of generic dating ads.

      Hi Guys,
Thanks for all your advices. one problem I am getting is I can't sign up on pof as a visitor so I am unable to see the type of ads that are working on that site. Is their any sample available that can give me some outlook to create a good ad copy.
I have the advertiser account on pof but not the visitor account so it would be glad if someone from here can create me an account on pof.com so that I can view how it is from inside. I guess their is some IP address problem which is not allowing me to register on site.

I am looking for banner tools too and have tried banne.fotor.com, but that lacks much functions. Any suggestions for banners or banner templates.

Don't worry too much about making the ad good looking. The most important thing is that you grab people's attention, use a strong call to action and get them to click on the ad (even if it's just out of curiosity).

You put most of the focus on the eDates brand, which will represent nothing to the end-user. Focus on the benefit, give people a reason to click on your ad.
