Promoting Website with ppv traffic

Has any one ever had success promoting their website using ppv traffic? Instead of using a landing page to presell the offer just use your website that has attention grabbing content to get the conversion with ever you are trying to promote? For example your in the weightloss niche and you target url is weightwatchers.com. You pop up over their site with your weight loss related site.

With any good weight loss site you will see that capturing leads or have goal for the visitor. Even weightwatchers.com ect.

So it can work, just remember to focus on getting leads or completing your goal.

Also remember that PPV providers display pages as a small, windowed pop-up (or pop-under).

Subsequently, your website is very unlikely to be optimized for those dimensions.

Landing pages is the way to go, but yes, you are usually able to target any website - as long as you bid high enough!

Try to make the colors, graphics, fonts, etc match the URL that you are targeting

Are you talking our own sites or CPA offers?

For CPA offers I use lots of ppv traffic. For my personal non-CPA sites, I only sometimes use ppv to strategically target competitors websites to "steal" traffic

Then in that case, pop a landing page with quick bullet-pointed USP's explaining why your site is better than the site you are popping over/under, and why they have to visit it.

Test different versions with different tactics. It can be much cheaper than PPC when done right
