Incentived vs Non-Incentivized - Differences?

What are the main differences between incentives and non-incentivized mobile cpa offers?

I saw a same offer but two different payout, the non-incentivized one have higher payout than the incentivized offer, why is it? Are incentivized offer easier to convert? How to incentive a user for mobile cpa?

Is it a loss promoting an incentivized offer with non-incentivized traffic? I know Ad Network like Tapjoy is incentivized but I don't get how it works, I'm using BuzzCity only for now.

Incentivized means you can provide an incentive for users to complete the offer, whereas normally you can't. Incentivized traffic is usually viewed as lower quality because the users aren't necessarily interested in the offer, just in the incentive. But for many affiliates, incent offers are easier to promote.

As far as specific incent methods go, it depends a lot on what the offer is. But content locking is a very popular method, or for mobile, you could require an offer completion before letting the user download an app or something.

      This is exactly is..

Often incentive traffic is lower quality than non-incent, so often non-incent offers will pay more

Incentive traffic can definitely be lower quality compared with Non-Incentive. With Non-Incentive, the user is mainly interested in the offer itself instead of the offer being the "bridge" to Premium Content.

Yeah, Jeremy definitely got the point, Non-incent traffic will be more likely backing out for advertisers. It's the difference between Buyers and Freebie Seekers.

What if it is a mobile CPS offer that allows incentivized traffic? It is not free anymore, the offer is like you pay some fee via your mobile carrier credit and you can download something like games or ringtones, and it allows you to use incentivized traffic to promote the offer.

How would you promote the offer in this case?

If you don't cheat too much but try to make your bullet points real, the traffic will remain quality.
