SiteScout or Lead Impact?

Just wanted to get some opinions on what you think is the better advertising network.

Lead Impact is great because you can target any keyword or URL that you want for a low cost but it is a pop over

On the flip side, Sitescout you have to choose between the allotted URLS but can place a banner and potentially be very very low cost if done right

Both of these methods would take using 3rd party info like "whatrunswhere" & Alexa to make your best judgement, but I feel like having the power to target ANY URL is much more powerful with Lead Impact.

(Can you use the "WhiteList" to target any URL?)

Any suggestions or alternative ways of looking at this?

Don't ignore the BEVO Ad Exchange. I think it may have a few more options than SiteScout. They have a webinar replay at The Official Blog of Ryan Bukevicz and BeVo Media. Internet Marketing Strategy and Internet Marketing Tips » Blog Archive » Webinar Replay – The Bevo Ad Exchange Tour

Sitescout allows you to buy remnant traffic, which is the stuff that the other networks couldn't sell. Nothing wrong with it, but you have to be pickier with the sites you allow your stuff to show on.

Lead impact is completely different. You already stated how but why does it have to be "or", why not test both and see which one works best with your offers.

You're comparing apples to oranges. Both can work well but are totally different. I recommend you try both and see which works best for you.

    Hey Guys,

New to the Warrior Forum but have quite a bit of experience with RTB and Ad Exchanges. The first thing that I would recommend is that you research exactly what it means to be a 'Ad Network' vs. 'Ad Exchange'.

Chances are slim that you'll ever do business directly with any of the Ad Exchanges. It's like saying you're going to buy stocks directly from the stock exchange.

    The main exchanges are:

    AdMeld (Google)
    Casale
    ContextWeb (Pulsepoint)
    Google Adx
    Improve Digital
    OpenX
    PubMatic
    Rubicon
    Yahoo

There are many application layer solutions that allow users access to this inventory. These are called Demand Side Platforms (DSPs).

Sitescout is one of these platforms and probably the most budget friendly. Here's a quick rank from Forrester. Believe it or not, this is a fairly comprehensive list of DSPs.

    AppNexus: 26 billion monthly impressions
    Invite Media (Google): 10 billion-plus
    MediaMath: 10 billion-plus
    Turn: 10 billion-plus
    Dataxu: 3 billion
    LucidMedia Networks: 2.5 billion
    X+1: 2 billion

Happy to share my experiences with any of you.

    Robert
