Does anyone approach CPA from the other angle?

By that I mean offer a CPA offer on any of the big networks.

Then let people drive traffic to your offer and pay per lead?

Seems to some people must be doing very well with it or there wouldn't be as many offers available.

I'm not 100% sure how they monetize but I would imagine by other CPA offers and sell leads to biz ops companies etc. Or even sell solo adverts.

Was wondering does anyone do this and what are the set up costs etc?

Yes, a lot of people do this, if you have a product to sell, just contact networks about getting a CPS offer live. The setup costs are what hold people back, usually networks want a % up front or a pre-paid number of leads...so in order to get your $100 CPS offer live you will have to pre-pay $1000-$5000, then that money is used to pay out the first conversions for affiliates. It removes risk for the network that you won't pay them.

$1K to $5K doesn't seem that bad. I remember approaching Neverblue a few years back... they wanted $20K. And yes, I say "Fuhgedaboudit!"

Do you mean is anyone a merchant? I know a few people that are, CPA is a very good model for merchants as long as they know their business well and understand the numbers behind their products and business

Yeah, that's pretty standard, it depends on the payout of the offer and if you have a pre-existing relationship with the affiliate network.
