Do creatives that work well in the US tend to work in Canada, UK, Australia?

I'm looking to scale internationally and wondering if creatives that have worked in the US tend to work well in other English-speaking countries. I'm thinking Canada should match well to the US, but may need to tweak and use British English for UK, not sure about Australia.

Can't ever take anything for granted, that it will work, but that is a good place to start.

Canada's English is actually closer to 'British' English.

They use CENTRE and not CENTER for example.
And yes, some of your viewers might resent not being 'spoken' the right way.

Also attitudes to online payment are more old fashioned in Canada.
Photos shouldn't contain palm trees ;-)
    Etc, etc

I find its often very similar, (conversion and ctr wise) across most English speaking countries

You've already touched on the language thing -
If I see an creative (I'm in UK) that mentions a 'cell', I see that as lazy management.

Other factors to think about -
      - US/CAN/AUS seem to me to be ahead of the trend, compared to the UK
      (diet creatives especially)
      - Time differential
