Hey Guys,

I'm jumping into CPA marketing, (focusing on FB ads) and a member of several CPA networks. I signed up to a couple, that focus on leads, some were hard products, other downloads.

Anyway, I know this sounds simple to write out, what products to focus on, what market to go after and types of ads to use. Basically, I'm bogging myself down with 'overthinking', 'over planning' and looking at all the offers I can promote...And not, getting anywhere.

Has anyone else started out like this? How did you organize your thoughts and offers, into taking action? Did you use a spreadsheet? Focus on different offers each week?

I'm stuck..again. Thanks for advice!

Well, I started out doing a 'like' campaign for my page then, someone said, focus on the offer and landing page. Then, someone said, to make 'tabs'/ 'iframes' to make your clicks cheaper, rather, than sending visitors off facebook.

In the mean time, I've been applying to CPA networks and getting accepted. Now, I'm barraged with, which offer to go with. I want simple forms, like email submits, lead forms, because, FB users aren't there to 'buy' something.

So, I've got ALL this stuff, swirling about in my head, on top of working with a limited budget, so I don't want to blow it all. I'm using Power Editor and have custom audiences, to market direct too, to narrow the my odds.

Oh yeah, then you have others that say, use your own capture page to get their email information, so you can market them in the future, but, wondering if that will turn them off with too many forms to fill out, even with a give-away.

I think this is why people give up - too many variables. From capturing the audience, set-up the offer - setup the ad, the landing page, the budget, the commissions and final sale. Then testing each component along the way.

      Anyway, thanks for your input!

It's pretty easy and common to fall into this pattern. The biggest thing is at some point you just need to take the plunge and just do it. Like the saying goes "I don't care if you made the wrong decision, I care that you made a decision"

Thanks Chris. I found out that there is an actual name for this, "Paradox Of Choice" Here's a presentation by Barry Scharwz On TED

Too many choices and options causes paralyzes.

I'm just starting too. I decided to get into CPA on the 20th of this month. I was really overwhelmed with choice as well, but I got over it.

What I did was just decide like ChrisBa said. You can't worry about making the "right" decision forever or you'll never get anywhere.

Forget about spreadsheets right now, that's just busy work and because you can't make up your mind on which path to take, your spreadsheets will be a never ending meaningless project = wasting time.

    Here's what I did:
    1. I decided to start with facebook ads.
    2. I logged into one of my CPA accounts.
    3. I picked an offer that stood out to me. It appealed to me and I thought it would be easy to promote on facebook.
    4. I'm on a limited budget, so I decided to make a fanpage to get cheaper clicks and get my ads approved faster/easier.
    5. I'm now directing facebook traffic to the facebook tab (landing page) that I created for my offer.
    6. I also ran a "like" campaign and started doing some facebook activities to get more likes.
    7. I'm going to start promoting my offer on my fanpage directly after I get the likes up.

    How I organized/executed this process:

I made a quick list of the things I would need to do/learn i.e. domain name, vps hosting, install prosper202, pick an offer, pick a traffic source, build a landing page/squeeze page (depending on the offer) etc.

Then I started working on things in order, one at a time.

The most important thing is to only focus on one task at a time, meaning if you're building a landing page that's all you should be reading about...Don't skip ahead and read about PPC or facebook ads. I personally use evernote web clipper or pocket when I find myself drifting off topic, so I can save things for later when I reach that step.

Oh and you've probably learned enough for a lifetime....just pick the path that makes the most sense for you and your offer and go with it and get to work.

From what I understand, your going to have more losers than winners, so you might as well fail fast and get to that winner faster.

Great Follow-up! I think we all have enough knowledge in us, to be millionaires! But some, (including myself) have been sucked into the "shiny object syndrome". Enough Is Enough - Let's Do It!

It is important you start with something. I remember when I started with Internet marketing. Internet marketing is very complicated. You can read WSOs and forum posts for years and you will not earn money if you don't take action.

The massive amounts of information you are facing at the beginning is simply overwhelming. However, if you found a technique that you like, stick to it until you master it. Solve all the issues you will encounter until the method you picked works.

There is a old saying. "Money is in the list". List building is a great start. Learn how to setup a landing page, how to build an email list and (!) monetize it. Pick only one (!) traffic source (ideally social media traffic, this is by far the best traffic) and learn from your mistakes.

Once you built a successful list, I am sure you will earn money and be motivated to move on to other marketing techniques.

    Good luck man!

I've been in your shoes before.

Read through your post, I can tell you have enough knowledge to get started.

Just start and get to work, stop thinking about why you are taking action or why you are overwhelmed, just start building your campaign based you things you described, spending a few $100s testing and tweaking it. Then if it fails come here and post your failed campaign.

We'll all give you great feedback on it.

My best advice is log off WF for a bit, and log onto Facebook.
