Good CTR, good landing page CTR, no conversions

I'm slowly getting the hang of Facebook ads in the dating niche, but apparently I'm missing something. I've ran through four campaigns targeting different types of people with multiple offers rotated in. I was able to convert some, but after a day the conversions just stopped.

My ads have good CTRs, as do my landing pages. My ads all have well over .200 and some are over 1.00. My landing pages have around 40% CTR. I just can't get the conversions. Am I missing something? Do different ads trigger more conversions even if the CTR stays the same? Also, can changing the copy on my landing page lead to more conversions with the same CTR?

Change the offer, it seems like the offer is not converting well

I've ran 5-6 different offers. I think I should try regular ads instead of a fan page with redirects.

Even tough you're getting good ctr's on both your ads and LP, they might be the cause of no conversions...Best way to know is testing in new ads first, then splittest LP's, then offers with good epc's.

Agree with jsmiz, you've got to split test your LP, sometimes a lower CTR LP that qualifies the visitor better before they hit the offer will convert better than just a very high CTR with no prep for the visitor.

I'd keep trying different lp and different ad variations. Also make sure that both you ad(s) and landing page(s) are relevant to the offer(s). Also how much traffic did you run through each offer before you called it a loser?

Thanks for the responses. After going back and reading my ads I can see where they may be misleading. I created a new that is more explicit about advertising a dating site. I like the testing process, but it'd be more fun if I had some winning campaigns going haha

Chrisba, I am running 100 clicks to the campaigns before I call them duds. I ran 200 to my first one though. I got 6 conversion off of it over the course of two days but after that it stopped converting. It's frustrating finding good offers. Maxbounty won't approve me for the good offers, and Peerfly has a limited amount of good ones.

Have you figured this out? It's happened to me a few times. I had an ad that got 7 conversions on its first 65 clicks, then it went 0 for 70. Another time I had an ad that got 3 conversions on its first 7 clicks, then it didn't convert its next 30 clicks at least. This only seems to happen on Facebook.

Without looking at your affiliate account, so only generally speaking, the way to get approved on sensitive campaigns at MaxBounty is to give full disclosure to your affiliate manager. Show your A.M. exactly how you'll advertise the campaign if you're approved. This will go a long way.

Yes, I was just going to make this point.

Also what are you ads like... do the say things that make the offer seem easier to join than it really is?

You should try qualifying the user more in your Ads and LPs. That would be a good starting point.

Also do you care share the niche/offer/price point? I may not be ideal for Facebook.

It seems like the problem is in the landing page. Try to split test the LPs. The problem occurs on the moment the visitor clicks the call-to-action button..

If you are not getting the clicks then it must be a combination of banner blindness and lack if decent USP.

If you are getting clicks and no conversions then it must be a combination of landing page design and lack of decent USP

    Anything else just ask
