Who shaves? The Cpa Networks or the Advertisers?

Hello there I have been runnign a couple offers either on Peerfly and Maxbounty. The offers have a video really targeted telling people to get a free trial and explaining the product. When someone visits the page it gives a pop up to get the product for 1-2$. I got 150 clicks and 3 conversions with Maxbounty, with Peerfly same campaign with 350+ Unique Clicks and 4 conversions .

At peerfly one of their affiliates told me, that sometimes is the "bots that crawl" those links or something like that and then it counts as a view.

I am promoting an offer about weight loss, where the offer has an pop up just like an wso product. So are this advertisers getting paid like double from local advertisers and then just run an CPA Campaign and make cash and shave a lot of the publishers. Since if there was 1000 clicks and 1000 conversions CPA companys would have to pay around 30,000$ to each publisher. So they are probably shaving lol

Both have the ability. Normally the advertiser does this.

How have you been promoting the offer(s)?

I don't see the point why a CPA network wil ldo this to you. It will hurt them in the long run. Marketers won't promote the offers anymore if the conversion rate will be so low.

CPA Network can shave and they will do to people that they might find that are new to the market or CPA. They will simply shave. You are new to a CPA network, you make 1000 leads they will probably take you 80% of those and said it did not convert.

I did an test with the offer filling details with a credit card and yep. The offer did not convert.

TIP: Whenever you run a trial offer, tell atleas to people to cancel the trial offer with a month once they get it. If an Affiliate is not paying you for that conversion they won´t get paid for sure for their product.

So you tell your surfers to cancel whatever program they signed up for through your affiliate link? That's just about the least wise comment I've read all day. You SUSPECT you might be getting shaved, so screw the advertiser and ensure his sales are no good? Not going to find much success that way, and as a matter of fact it's grounds for termination at most networks, including MaxBounty.

It´s not. If you´re not getting paid then why not tell people to cancell after. Advertiser makes money, they get free emails signs up and people cancell it and ask for another one.

Now just made an website with a opt in and getting already a few emails from people who want´s to get the product offer and get the trial. It looks like is the advertiser that is shaving. More clicks received to my offers and also emails opt ins. I would like to ask if the advertiser or the network checks if the leads are coming from opt ins pages and then the opt in redirect to the offer, will the Advertisers and Network shave more leads?

    Another 1 lead

Shall be used the program that is called Prosper 202 or such?

    Thanks

yup ,usually CPA network shaved it but you can get it back if you monitor everything and ping your affiliate manager with the stats so they will return your profit on the next pay check.

Note: Affiliates don't shaved your profits/conversion and paid to your CPA network and it's your CPA network who shaved it but you can ask with the stats

So I just wanted to warn all the newbies that are going to go into CPA Networks. Have been promoting this offer at Maxbounty and Peerfly have been shaving a lot or it is either the Networks or must be the current offer that I am advertising and the guys are just shaving and are not paying publishers and Networks must check into this.

Here is the Case: Made an video and promoted it to youtube, the video is really targeted with a person talking about the product, not a fiverr gig. All the traffic then was going from the video directly to my CPA Offer. So many clicks and no conversions, something was weird. I then changed the way of how I promoted the offer, made an opt in page and then sent the offer to people. In just 1 day from about 10 clicks there was 4 conversions and the offer keeps getting leads and opt ins.

TIP: Never send traffic directly to an offer from a Youtube Video.

The big problem is that all advertisers and networks have the ability to shave on their platform.

Advertisers might shave on a network wide basis if they find most traffic from that network is crap. The affiliate network might shave a little on top of that. The advertiser has the ability to also shave specific affiliates as does the network. So it can stack and stack and stack.

Best way to avoid this is to find out exactly what kind of traffic the advertiser wants and where they are seeing the best data from. Get a direct contact with the advertiser and see if you can't get a better deal on the side.

The best way to avoid getting shaved is to learn what the advertiser wants before you go spending 20 hours building a campaign. Research and talking to the right people are essential to getting things done right!

As was mentioned, it makes absolutely no sense for a network to shave a publisher's legitimate conversions. What happened when you didn't convert? You switched to another network. Doesn't seem like a good business plan from the network standpoint.

As far as telling people to cancel on a trial, well, that's ridiculous. If that's what you are doing then you should expect an advertiser to scrub you.
