Do you even SELL SOMETHING??

Why are you people making squeeze pages with 20 - 30 minutes videos without BUY button? Do you even sell ONE item with this? Don't you think you will lose the blaze at first 3 minutes and wont get any insta-buy ever i mean like never-EVER?

Really would like to get answer from one of those 20 minutes video-squeeze-page authors.

Edit:
And then you are putting large contact numbers everywhere on site to throw away and spit in faces of your affiliates.

I hate those pages. They typically have a popup that brings you to a normal written sales page with a buy button if you try to close the page, though.

Okay do this means that person who is driven to vendors site will be routed to other page and i wont have any comissions on that?

No. It's just an alternate path to the same purchase.

Someone clicks your affiliate link -> cookie is set in their browser with your affiliate ID.

That someone later arrives at the "thank you for purchasing" page of any of the company's funnels in the future -> the cookie with your affiliate ID is read and the commission is credited to you.

It doesn't matter what happens in-between those two actions. The cookie is what remembers you brought that person to the site, not the link or pages they go through in the middle. These video landing pages aren't a scheme to cheat you out of commissions, they're just a different sales tactic.

This thing with the cookie, do you know if this applies also in clickbank?

Yes it does. At least wider public says so.

Its just unbelievable. Im sure i can make 25 times better sales text in three short sections and sell your product with 220% efficiency comparing to your Ãœber-hyped nonsense. Ah yes. I wont have a direct link and have to lead traffic still to your half hour animations.

They must work if people keep doing them right?

Well there seem to be a fragment of truth in your words.

But i would like to hear about some comparisons between video- and text LP's.

It's interesting for me because youtube generation is indeed lazy to read longer sales content and prefer to watch cartoons instead. But from psychologic perspective of those same lazy readers they wont watch 25 minutes sales cartoon either. And if there is no "skip-the-crap-and-buy-the-product" button - i'm curious how much it converts.

If here is some marketer who is hands-on with both parallels - i would be curious to hear about practical difference.

This is one of those things that personifies the wierd yet wonderful world of affiliate marketing!

You tend to see these videos in Niches where people are used to being sold to e.g make money online/dating/gambling etc.

I would imagine its a way of combating "banner blindness" whilst also presenting yourself as a professional.

I have tried the video opt in page before - granted it was only 5 mins long and I set the capture form to show half way through the video - yet the conversions were no different to a normal text LP.
