Need help to take action!

Hi fellow warriors.

I've been for months going back and forward wanting to start a PPC campaign, but I'm not taking action!

I think it's because the fear of losing time and money A good friend of mine says I should atleast put together $1000 for a campaign, but as a teen (18y) this is alot of money.

I have earned about $25 000 from blackhat methods before but I really don't want to be a blackhatter!

Please help me to get motivation to setup a successful PPC campaign so I can start making money the right way!

Cheers.

If you've earned $25k already, why are you afraid of putting $1k towards testing? To be successful you need to invest back into your business. CPA/PPC does take some money to test but it is super lucrative.

Considering you made $25k, that should be enough motivation to know the potential out there. When I first started, of course it was hard to lose money testing...but once you start seeing big money come in, then you understand the true potential and you should be willing to test hundreds a day even if you loose money.

You might be surprised and after only $200 in testing, you found this highly profitable campaign!

Put it this way, another $25k is not gonna find you, you gotta find the money. Now go do some testing!

    Hey buddy,

I hear your worries..... We have all been there.

All I have to say is that you will never GET beyond scarcity, you have to START beyond it!!!

I make my entire living through PPC and I am not going to lie... I lost some money to start, everybody does because it's just like a real business!

The thing that helped me the most was a change of mindset. If I spent a few hundred $ on PPC and nothing converted, then I would say to myself " ok, that's a few hundred $ invested into FINDING the correct keywords" and not "******* hell, I've just pissed away a few hundred $ for nothing"

Change the mindset and you will change your life.

    Any questions just ask....

Will I survive if the worst happen? -Yes, I will. So f*cking start doing it.

I can tell you this, with $25k saved up, and with a very cautious research oriented personality... you almost guaranteed to success with CPA.

You won't fail as long as you don't quit.

I hope that gives you some confidence to take action.

Make your first campaign, post back here with the results, and all these Warriors will be glad to give you feedback and help.

I think $1,000 is more than enough to start a CPA campaign.

I would at least invest a couple of hundred testing.

    And profit from the rest.

Everyone throws around these arbitrary numbers (you need $XXX or $X,XXX to start). In all honesty, you are not going to burn through all your money as fast as you might think or be led to believe.

I've been doing facebook ads for the past couple weeks, and I was almost shocked by how little I've been spending. I had roughly $670 to start, and I've spent more on tools, services and education combined than Facebook ads. I'm already making a profit, and I still have money from my original budget left.

If you've been doing blackhat stuff, then you probably have a good IM skill set. Just pick a traffic source and an easy niche to promote on that traffic source (also start with offers that pay per lead). Then find out everything you can about promoting that niche on that traffic source....that's what worked for me anyway.

You should never worry about "wasting" time.

Whether you do this or not, the time will still go by, but if you choose to do nothing you will have learned and earned nothing.

If you choose to do something, you will definitely learn something and possibly even earn something.

    Hope that helps....just get started....

If you are new, I wouldn't suggest Media Buying since it is more of an advance traffic method.

PPC or PPV is a good place to start. I would suggest committing to spend around $800 over the course of the next 1-2 months.

A $1-$5 budget isn't going to get you enough data fast enough to draw any real conclusions.

Well, I'm drowning in offers. I go to my CPA network and see hundreds of offers which scares me because I need to pick "the right one"

People are asking about your $25K, but I'll assume that you are like me and buy stuff and don't put all your money under the mattress...

That said, yes, you need a budget, but if you get started with social PPC with proper guidance/process, I believe you can get your foot wet with less than a thousand.

Just don't be afraid of trying (and maybe losing). There is one thing you can be sure about: you will NEVER really learn the process until you try and fail a few times.

Yeah I dont really have $25k in my bank.

I roughly got $12k to play with...

But man, there is hundreds of offers. I need something noob friendly xD (if it exists)

Pick a low payout offer 2-6$ which you think can easily convert. Just test it. Like I said, what's the worst that could happen. You lose some money?

I bet everyone has nights where he has "lost" 100 bucks or more and can't remember a damn thing. Here you can "lose" 100 bucks and learned a lesson, or you will making more money of it.

You are in a good position. I wish I had $12,000 to "play" with right now. You're going to be fine. Just remember you will be purchasing data to help you improve your campaigns, not "losing money."

But you need to find your focus (niche + traffic source) and start making decisions quickly. There's lots of threads discussing which niches are newbie friendly....typically, the fun stuff like dating, gaming etc and offers that pay per lead.

Use the WF search to find threads about your niche and traffic source. Don't just aimlessly wander the WF reading random stuff, that will just overload your brain and overwhelm you.

        About Offer Selection
You don't need to pick the "right one," because you won't know what the "right one" is until you test it. There's too many variables for you to possibly pick the "right one." What you need to find is the best combination.

For instance, you could pick what you think is the "right one" or what someone else tells you is the "right one" but combine it with the wrong country, wrong traffic source, wrong bidding strategy, wrong landing page, wrong ad copy etc. In the end, picking the right offer is just a small piece of the puzzle. It's about finding the best combination.

        Action Plan
        1. Pick a niche and traffic source - learn about these
        2. Ask your affiliate manager which offers in your niche are working well with the traffic source you've selected (they should be able to tell you)
        3. Set up your landing page
        4. Set up tracking - you must do this, please don't skip it. I struggled with wrapping my mind around prosper202, but I'm so glad I figured it out (well mostly), because the data is awesome.
        5. Set up your ad/ad campaign
        6. Be patient, then analyze results
        7. Make improvements

That's exactly what I did, and I tried my best to focus on one step at a time. Don't try to see the whole picture...it's just overwhelming at first.

Oh and join Greed Reports. I'm a member. It will really help you, and it's less than $10/mo I think. So many resources (landing pages, graphics, images, scripts) complete guides to almost everything cpa (and other affiliate marketing stuff), except mobile cpa I believe, and you can get all your questions answered in the forum by Greedy.

I suggest you start with at least $250. The thing is you can lose money really fast if you don't know what you're doing, so be sure to educate yourself. You should be able to get ads for pretty cheap, like around $0.25 (but it varies buy industry).

I recommend watching the PPC videos on Eric's Tips.

Here's the link to the first one:

    Good luck.

I would go at it with at least $800, and ready to put a few months of good work in.

When people invest in education, do you find it losing money? IMO advancing your knowledge is never a waste of time or money.

When starting in this industry I firmly believe that the money you invest is towards learning and experimenting. As long as you treat this as a this IMO it's well worth the investment.

Do you really want to think back when your older and ask "what if"

Best of luck and hopefully you get started!

I am in exactly the same boat. I am down to the £5000 GBP. I am thinking of selling my car and motorbike to add more funds to my campaign cos I was wondering how much money before I start banking.

I keep hearing about people making $400 per day. Man I would be happy to make that a week. I am unable to work anymore and am starting to struggle. Not quite on red alert but will be soon if I DONT TAKE ACTION.

There is some good info in this thread exactly what I have been looking for. When I read about losing money I wondered how much. I think I should be ok with The money I have.

I started a campaign on Bing ads but paused it as I didn't know what I was doing. I think in my mind I am making it harder than it really is. I will start this week and hopefully get back with good news.

If anybody wants to add to gee me up please do. I just need to get my confidence and find my feet at this.

COME ON I CAN DO THIS!!

Sounds like you are stressing out a lot What have you tested so far with Bin Ads? How many campaigns have you given a good accurate test with so far?
