Does Bing Ads accept direct linking or affiliate links in their adverts? And if so, how are conversion compared to AdWords?

    They don't allow direct linking. There are ways to get around but the easiest is to use a landing page.

    As far as conversions, this obviously depends on a number of things. Niche, ad wording, titles, landing pages, etc.

    The one thing I will say that I've found about Bing vs Adwords is that while I don't think there's a noticeable difference in traffic quality - the quantity of traffic can be very different on bing. Obviously there's thing you can do to compensate for this, but it's like everything, it'll need tweaking before it'll be successful

      I was direct linking to some clickbank products and continued without problem for sume time. Then after a month I got a mail from bing ads representative that there are outrageous claims on my landing page that are deceiving to the user and hence i must change my lp to continue promotion. So, if you dont want to get into all these you should start with landing pages from scratch.

    I highly recommend using landing pages. They are more relaxed then Adwords but they still do have some restrictions

    They are good and you can direct link to certain things still if you really wanted to.

    However landing pages are always a good idea too.

    Compared to Adwords, I feel Bing Ads traffic converts better than Adwords (since most people are using IE as their browser, they aren't as internet savvy, and don't realize what the ads are vs normal search results.)

    But at the end of the day Adwords has all the volume. (I've heard the #1 searched keyword on Bing Ads is "Google" lol!) The volume is what gets you big campaigns.

    With that being said Bing Ads can still produce some good volume. Also they are much friendlier to affiliates. They do have some restrictions, and I wouldn't suggest direct linking.

    I suggest landing page, you will have complete control over it. And they don't allow direct linking. You can optimize landing page anytime. Make it better and better!

    I think most of the time using landing pages is better than direct linking. Try it, you'll most likely get better conversions.

    As other said, I'd strongly recommend you to use landing pages.It's not only because it will be easier to get the campaigns approved (although it will), but specially because good landing pages with the right pre-selling tend to convert much better than simple direct linking.

    Regarding volume, yes, AdWords has way more. However, if you are not profitabl yet, volume shouldn't be your major concern. First, you need to get profitable even if it's with low volume. After you find winning campaigns, then you can probably scale them to AdWords and hit the big bucks.

    I use a meta redirect with Bingads for CPA. It's been working well for several months now for me.

    Add the following within the <head> tags to redirect

      Bing ads is a great traffic source. It is very consistent and you get real eyeballs. I also like how less restrictive platforms. No waiting days for approvals for each campaign you create.

        They do allow direct linking but the problem with direct linking is the vendor might decide to test an exit pop up and that once Bing discovers they'll stop displaying your ads.

        Bing doesn't convert better at all.

    Bing Ads work very well and I always recommend it to my "students". Anyway you MUST have a landing page for obvious reasons! This actually makes you have much more control over your own business, rather than relying on other people to the work.

    For search, yes. I would stay away from their content network. Even their reps have told me not to use it, as they have lesser control over it

    That's not to say it can't work, but you probably need to be very experienced to make it happen

      Last time l used Adwords, they told me to put the optin page with no perks to get signups, below the fold on one of my pages, (not the ad link page).

      In other words, useless!


      I am surprised that people here, still think that Bing converts, l tested plenty of offers with Bing, and it never converted!

      Maybe instead of expecting a sale out of 100 visitors l need to double it?

      But yeah, an affiliate link or landing page may not get you banned, but it may get you closed to a banned account.

      It is usually three strikes and you are out!


      That is why l am creating a hub site, full of flyers, as a way of direct linking, without being slammed!

    I'm always hearing more and more good things about running on Bing, to answer your question yes it's very good. The big G and bing definitely don't allow direct linking or aff links but there's always a way around it if you're creative enough.

    BingAds is a good platform to start with. They have excellent traffic quality and you can use direct linking unless you are doing something shady. Make sure they are able to see the landing page they are supposed to see. Many CPA links redirect to other websites based on geo.

    No, They don't allow direct linking but you can do meta redirect :p That's How I did it!

    They aren't really strict about landing pages and stuff but still there are certain rules..like you can't have exit pop up and regarding keywords they are no different than Google..

    They have the best support ever!
    About conversation rates...
    Both are search engines and both get real people clicking those sponsored links!
    Its upto your ad copy and landing pages and other metrics.
