Adware from offer page?

Hey guys.

Currently running an offer from peerfly. Bought a domain name and used the URL frame feature to cloak the affiliate link. Put a video up on youtube to promote it and was getting comments that when the link was clicked their anti virus program was popping up with adware threat notifications. Any idea why that might be?

    The offer's domain has been flagged as spam. Nothing you can do on your end. Advertiser needs to change the url.

      They told me that it's because if a user from outside the allowed countries clicks the link, they are redirected, and that's what's doing it.. but it seems like BS to me..

    Country redirection. If the offer is a US only offer, and you've got people from countries that are not in the USA clicking the link, they'll be sent to different offers. Most of those other offers can be toolbar offers that are adware.

      So what's the solution? My offer converts for US,CA,UK,AU, and NZ. If you're using a source like Youtube for traffic, couldn't you just have a page come up that says sorry this offer is unavailable in your region?

    Some networks allow you to set a redirect yourself. Talk to your AM about it. Otherwise you could try setting up a geo-redirect on your own. Google it a bit and you should be able to find a php script or something.
