DirectCPV & Url Targeting Advertising Option

Hi Warriors,

The comments i see in some threads about DirectCPV does not seem to pose a good picture of DirectCPV.

I however want to give them a try in view of the low start up fee - $100 and the availability of the url targeting option. Lead Impact for example only does keyword targeting or so i think.

I can understand that poor quality traffic can be given if one is doing keyword targeting but think that should not be the case if one is doing url targeting since one has more or less provided the source of traffic himself, except DirectCPV is outrightly fraudulent.

Is my assumption right?

What do you think guys?
Thank you for your view.

Ive only ever received Uber Low Quality Traffic from them, And ive blown over a grand there. They're response to Zero ROI, Was that I needed a larger budget.

Alot of networks are fraudulent, all they care about is the bottom line, and Not their traffic quality or techniques. Be careful.

Somehow I am sensitive when you generalize and say "a lot of traffic networks are fraudulent" without having clear concise facts why is it fraudulent.

Do you claim that directcpv traffic is fraudulent? Put your facts straight.

From all the IP addresses that I got from DirectCPV, I did not find bots or fraudulent traffic, but real people.

If you have already invested US $1,000 into directcpv, why did you start testing their network with such amount? You could start with US $100 and if it does not work for you, move on.

If you miss results, if your success is not as you expected it or you are not satisfied with the type of traffic, that is not fraudulent, that is your shortsighted complaint. It is up to you to decide what works for you and what does not work for you.

We cannot even speak of "quality traffic" without defining what quality traffic means for a particular advertiser. In your particular case, you have not get quality traffic, but that depends of so many factors, including of your ability to place proper targeting on DirectCPV.

Don't just blame and complain, give us some straight facts.

I've never had luck with DirectCPV, and never seen anyone else online speaking highly of them or talking about success.

I would stick with LeadImpact, TrafficVance, 50OnRed, ect...

90% of their traffic comes from bots and datacenter IPs.

They can probably get away with that for keyword targeting but do you think they would also risk that for url targeting especially where you are tracking your source of traffic and can compare with the urls you have given?

Well when tracking the source on LeadImpact or any other PPV network for that matter you won't be seeing the source URL as the refer of your traffic. You will see the LeadImpact server, because you are popping via a PPV Network toolbar that the user has installed on their browser. The toolbar triggers the pop when they visit the URL you entered. You are not buying individual ad spots on the website URLs you inputed.

Hope that helps things make sense.

    FYI leadimpact allows url targeting

I don't really agree with the assessment of fraud for keyword targeting.

I'd go with leadimpact over directcpv anyday.

Thank you guys for your input but the crux of my question still remains unanswered. Perhaps i should frame it in another way.

If i do ONLY url targeting with DirectCPV which means i am providing the source of traffic, is there still a chance of DirectCPV giving me fake traffic and not the traffic i indicated, which would mean outright fraud?

I my self had no luck with direct cpv. I dont know why thier demographics are so dam hard to convert. I though of fraud, so I triple referers and ip's it all came out pretty clean. I then used a spy script to see what the behaviors where on the lading page and the domain once click thru. To random on actions and time spent to qualified as bot traffic. unless they have some of the best software engineers on the planet. I seriosly dought they do.So final verdict is , The traffic is real, I just don't know why they wont convert. I have tried every thing under the sun, Laser target urls and key words, Split testing A,B,C,D and even E for kicks.
LI is starting to get a little shaky as well,
      Good Luck JD
