Hello there,

I am very interested in CPA online marketing, but I am completely now to any sort of online marketing.
I read Kenster's Rags to Riches Guide and I was able to at least understand how is working. The biggest problem for me right now is, that I have no real idea where to start and what to do.

What I know is that I basically have to find my own niche, make a website or a blog about the niche I have, put my affiliate link on there and then generate traffic to that page to get people who might actually sign up / buy stuff from the company I am advertising.

The problem is, that I read through this forum for a while now and I have to say I am pretty overwhelmed with information here and don't really know how to even get started.

I am obviously not trying to make 1000$/day or something like that. I just want to get into CPA and maybe make a little bit of profit and learn on the go. If there are some mentor programs here or people who are willing to teach me the ropes I would be very interested in that as well.

Greetings.

Information overload is pretty common. There's so many different ways that people make money that it's hard for newbies to choose where to get started. And when people don't see immediate results, they move on to the next "method".

My suggest to you is to choose something you KNOW makes other people money and to stick with it. Browse through forums and see how other affiliates are making money. Read in between the lines.

With that said, I suggest you focus on a traffic source you want to master. Want to do SEO? Focus on that for the next year. Want to do Facebook ads? Do the same.

      Thanks!

I found Facebook ads to sound interesting. Is there any beginner material you would recommend? Or should I just start reading around the Forum to find out what other people do?

Welcome to marketing...you are right where 95% people are when they start so don't feel alone.

Start small, test methods, fail small, jump into the fire, and learn.

You need grit, guts and action to do well. Best of luck buddy!!

Thanks for the motivational words Kenster!

Would you recommend for a newbie to get into a coaching program? Or should I start by myself to get a better understanding of everything first?

Get a base understanding of everything first for sure or you'll be wasting your money!

Like the other said this is common. So there is no need to panic or stress out about it.

What I would suggest doing making a clear action plan. Then start taking the action and learning the steps needed to success. Start by answering these 3 steps.

    1. What am I going to promote? (Find a CPA offer/product.)

    2. How am I going to present it to my market? (i.e. a Blog, Landing Page, Email List, Site...)

    3. How am I going to get traffic to it? (i.e. PPC Ads, SEO, Youtube, PPV...)

If you are unsure about any steps post your picks, and we'll give you some feedback.

I think Greedy nailed it honestly. Those are definitely the things you need to figure out. How and what you'd like to promote.

Just pick one method and stick to it till you start seeing results, then you can move on to other methods. In my experience, do too much at a time won't get you anywhere.

I agree, just start with one traffic source for now, maybe a couple different verticals and see what works with that traffic source. To the OP, if you want to hit me up we can talk about some possibilities.

So I have been doing some research those past days and basically spend a lot of time reading posts on here and blogs / guides on the internet.

I came upon a pretty down-weight guide about 7search and direct ads. Would you say it is a good idea to start there? I have been thinking about starting a number of campaigns to see how everything works (research, keywords, testing, tracking, etc.).

Or do you think it would be more beneficial to wait until I have an understand on how landing pages work, built up some landing pages and then start?

Thank you very much Greedy and myleslast, like I said in my post before, I am currently looking around and trying to find out what I am going to do, but it seems that I make progress when it comes to sorting out all that information. I plan on starting small to get some first experience and then from there extend. I will probably start with direct linking and then get into Landing Pages.

Hello CashAdsMike, thanks for the help. I would be very interested in talking about some possibilities.

Overall I start getting a better feeling about this whole thing.

Hi guys I'm from the Philippines. I'm about to start on CPA almost a year ago, I already understand the flow but did not even try any campaign yet.

My problem is. I don't know what networks will accept me as newbie. I am will to spend for quality traffic but that is my concern. Could anyone here help me the step by step on how to do it? Minimizing the loss of money.

And also being in the Philippines will make it hard for me to promote offers?

    Hey,

identify a 'need' first. Do your market research. Use the search engines, Amazon and so on. Are there buyers in the area you are looking for? Competition? If the need is there, THEN think about the rest.

    No competition =Bad
    Lots of competition= Good

The product that you are going to promote comes later….

Direct Linking can work but it tends to convert much lower than LP, Websites, Squeeze Pages, ect.... just a heads up.

Thank you! I read that too and from a lot of stuff I read from this forum it seems to be true. But right now I don't know enough about LP's, how to make suitable Websites, Squeeze Pages, etc. but I plan on getting into that later.
For now I am going to try and learn keyword research, testing and tracking via direct links, I will see how things work out.

Thank you for your good wishes!

I recently started a number of campaigns on 7search and I have a few questions. How long do you usually wait before you make adjustments to your campaign? I was creating them yesterday night and watched them for a while and noticed that some of my keywords had a low visibility for example and raised the bid to give them a better visibility.

Is it wrong to start adjusting your campaigns right away (say an hour or two after creation) and should I wait for at least a day to see what is going on in a longer time frame?
