direct linking clickbank offer on cpv

So after studying alot of traffic getting stratgies I decided to open a few ppv accounts and a 7search account to test. I have also run a RON ad with mediatraffic . In All I have spent about 60$

-24$ 7search 145 clicks $24 cpc $0.16
-media traffic RON 24$ 2700 impressions
-media traffic PPV 567 views 12.49$

Also signed up with clicksor and directcpv but haven't rolled out those campaigns yet

I have made zero sales (not pissed wanted to get my feet wet but disappointed a tad )
method I used was flat out direct linking to a landing page to one of clickbank's most popular weight loss products. Instead of linking to video page (not allowed in PPV) I linked to their learn more page which does have a call to action.

MY Question is this ,
1) does direct linking work ?
2) is it ALWAYS better to have your own landing page then direct linking ?
2) when using ppv , is it best to stick to CPA ?

I'm in the process of having my landing pages finalized and hopefully ready to launch in a few days but i'm also wondering if being in weight loss for a newbie is a wise Idea since competition is fierce , maybe chose a less competitive niche with high gravity. I also understand the importance of capturing emails so definitely gonna test with landing page . Just was hoping to get advice from some seasoned marketers

    1) Since we're in the CPA forum, the general rule of thumb here is no. If it were that easy, everyone would be doing it. You need to "warm up" your leads with your landing page. Whether you chose to just provide info then link them to the actual page... make it engaging, or capture their info yourself that prepop it in the actual form.

    2) In most cases yes. This stems back to question 1 and the idea that direct linking should be successfull.

    3) I'm not sure on this one. I suppose it comes down to what % CTR you can get with your ads. I mostly do CPC with CPA advertising because then I only end up paying for who lands on my landing page. The advantage here is that my ad CTR almost becomes irrelevant. But I suppose each has their ups and downs. Like I said, if you can get a really high CTR on your ads, then using CPV is probably really effective.

    Cheers,
    Ben

Direct linking does work for some offers and not for others. However considering you are getting your feet wet in arguably one of the hardest niches to break into, then be prepared to lose everything you throw at it.

When using PPV, again, both can work, but it really depends on the offer. Sometimes people prefer to have LP's because they are different from the offer pages others have and that entices the visitor in. It really is all down to the particular offer you are running.

My advice would be to ditch this idea you have. Start off with the basics, ie going for email submits etc. Easier to convert and track keywords etc and you wont pay over the odds for keywords etc.

Why does this interest me? Because it's what I'm doing now with some degree of success.

    Hi Sree,
    That is great to know.
out of the 3 networks Li, tv and 50onred, how would you rate them on traffic quality?

    clickbank sucks.

i hope you have a lot of money to burn through...it takes forever to get paid by them, and they take a nice chunk everytime they pay you...so for optimal income you have to let them sit on your income.

if you need money fast to buy more traffic, you gotta pay a 2.50 fee to get your own money.

they SUCK. worst network by far. oh, and their ridiculous refund rate is awful as well.

With ClickBank you should also try building a list, it is a great alternative to split test against a LP.

Always always always use a landing page. Think of it as a referrer to the offer. A warm traffic (referred) is always better. Always.

I would suggest, landing pages with auto responder lead capturing. Split test two to three variations. Direct linking works if your keywords and urls are highly targeted to the offer. Also depending on the offers LP's appearance in the pop window. My own experience with PPV is getting the lead and follow them with email triples profits. I would stay far away from RON Traffic and Direct CPV.

I will say since my last post I am getting slaughtered on LI these days. what the hell happened to these guys. I used to be able to squeeze out a 8% optin rate on most verticals. Now its about .005 %. and thats with A,B,C,D split testing both highly relevant urls and keywords. Straight click in landers have gone down drastically as well with %5 at best. any ideas on what has happened to these guys, LI Used to be one of the best cpv netowrks around, now its looking pretty bleak!

All you were doing is tire 2 networks. Go with tire 1 networks and get quality traffic like adwords, Leadimact. So that the quality of the leads will be better at final.

Adwords in not an option with click bank products unless you got $1,000 to spend on spllit testing and keyword optimization, even then you might get waked by adwords tso's. however Bing threw Microsoft ad center is a good solution for PPC with CB products. The traffic converts better that adwords in many verticals, and cpc is a lot cheaper in most cases. Also Bing is a lot easier to deal with if your an affiliate.

Also to note with adwords, they are very picking on the destination page, you pretty much need a full built out site or you could face a suspension/ban.

But I agree with stayinf away from DirectCPV
