Next steps on FB Fan Page Affiliate/CPA Success?

I'm experimenting with a FB Fanpage from scratch to earning my first dollar. I've had success in other areas of IM over the years but I haven't given the FB marketing a try. So figured why not.

Where I'm at?

I've built my page to 600 real targeted fans - women between 20-30. My page is fairly active with likes on posts I make about the topic. I did FB ads to generate the likes and got my price per like to $0.06. I would like to got lower but I've found it hard to break the barrier below $0.06. So an area I can work on.

Questions

1. Is 600 fans enough for me to start thinking about a paid promotion for a post offering a CPA offer (through a webpage)?

2. Is there a strategy to paid promotions that others have seen successful?

My current plan is to:
  • Create a webpage with my CPA offer (Peerfly)
  • Post with an enticing message
  • Paid promotion to reach 20K+ views. How many paid views should I consider?

If others have tips or things I should think about that would be great. I'd like to come back and post my successes eventually.

    Happy to hear you're taking action Joe! 600 fans is not much, but if you keep posting good content you should be able to get more viral Likes. That being said, with some good targeting I think you'll be able to get your Likes for less than $0.06/each. Are you using Optimized CPM Bidding?

    I would not recommend you start posting paid promotions until you reach closer to 10,000 Likes. That's the number I recommend because prior to that you may irritate your audience and potentially lose them before your Page really "takes off".

    So, how are you going to get to 10,000 Likes? Keep testing different ads to build up your audience and keep posting GOOD CONTENT.

    Once you start getting reach you can really start making good money. I replied to a thread earlier with some stats from a single post I made yesterday:

    There's a TON of potential with Pages, but you have to be patient. Good luck and keep up the good work!

      Really great feedback..irritating fans is definitely one area I was concerned with if I started to soon with ads. I know my fans are beginning to interact but I want to keep the momentum going.

      At my current rate of $0.06 that may push the budget to reach 10,000 so I think I really need to start working with getting that down to make it realistic. Yes, I'm doing optimized for likes. My target audience is 2.7M on a daily budget of $6.

      I keep my ad simple with "Like" if you think so and so (its a fanpage with a celebrity).

      So when you say you use Twitter and Tumblr with your fanpage can you expand? Do you set up accompanying pages to the Fanpage and begin to spread the word on those two sites?

      If you have other traffic methods to generate FB likes you've seen I'm all ears

        With Tumblr and Twitter I basically cross promote with my Facebook Pages. So, I'll post on my Facebook Page about following my Twitter account associated with that Page. I also tweet/post on my Page about my Tumblr account. This helps you build up a larger reach, but doing it for free using the traffic you already have.

        For example, I recently created a Tumblr for one of my Facebook Pages. I already have about 1,500 followers on that Tumblr. That same Facebook Page also has a Twitter account with 75,000 followers. Using those other social media platforms I'm expanding my reach through viral traffic not only on Facebook, but Twitter and Tumblr as well.

        I use my other social media accounts to build up Page likes, but Facebook Ads are the only source I use for paid traffic to my Pages.
