I felt like writing about my experience with shareasale. I hope this information was in place before I joined.

I originally used clixgalroe and after a bad experience with that platform I switched to shareasale. Shareasalenow requires an initial investment of r$650:

1. Do not spend the $650 if you do not already have a list of quality affiliates. Do not expect that quality affiliates wills tart submitting join requests just because you joined.

2. The affiliate search feature is very cumbersome. You affiliate search result list includes no information, it only includes the name of the affiliate. you need to click on each and every affiliate to get more information and even then the information is thin.

3. Shareasale does not provide stats (like clixgalroe does) on the performance of affiliates. There is no indication of how many views the affiliate is generating for other merchants and how many conversaions the have.

4. There are no tools to safeguard merchants. Commisions go in automatically upon a sale occurs and there is no way to reject a sale.

5. You loose the ability to track (via google analytis or statcounter or similar) where visitors come from. The shareasale link masks the website visitors come from. Very frustrating since you cannot monitor whether your affiliates are running a scam.

Overall I am not happy with shareasale and I would not recommend it.
