What's the highest conversion rate(from search traffic) you have ever heard of about a payday loan website? There is some Affiliate manager told me 25%, is that even possible?

    i use to work affliate marketing school, they do mostly payday offers..my coaches claimed to make alot of money with google ppc.....i never seeing it myself so i quit doing it. but i know some people are making......

    For payday sites, the business has changed a lot in the past few months. A lot of offers that used to work have fallen out with all the lenders shutting their doors (after the NY attorney general dropped a hammer on the industry)

      It depends on where you score your conversion...at the lead or close.

      I only work with payout per close. And I get from 13-17% conversion on lead to close.

      Click to lead is about 20-40%, and can get as high as 60-80% from my experience.

        I do in fact. I have found lenders are buying less and less and offers are converting for crap these days. 2 years ago good traffic to a long form could make serious money.

          That's interesting. I mean, there are plenty of places you cannot run payday loans. New York being one of them.

          But I am still getting great conversions. Of course, it is pretty dry this time of year. But, otherwise, it's a huge market with plenty to go around.

          There's no shortage of traffic. That's for sure.

    As someone who watches that industry, I will say that the regulatory environment is getting much tighter, and the day may be coming that most lenders just get out of the payday loan business.

    In any case, it is contracting, not expanding, and anybody contemplating investing into lead gen for that business should understand it is probably not a growth area.

    Eyes wide open, smart experienced marketers might see opportunity to be mined in that scenario. For all others, well, there is always weight loss.
