Where did I go wrong??

I am promoting a dating offer (Ihookup from loadedcash) and using directCPV as traffic source. I use direct link, drive traffic to their site (their own LP which you can modify in their campaign builder).

my first campaign targeted on keywords ("date a girl in us" ..etc..etc) and I got 500 unique visits but no conversion.

my second one targeted on url. I spent a few hours checking top 10 urls of some good keywords, I even targeted on the login/register pages of other dating sites. I spent 20usd to get 800 unique, but once again, no conversion

I am confused now, at least I should have few conversions. Where did I go wrong? or maybe my traffic source sucks?

You can't just throw up a campaign and expect it to covert off the bat. If it were that easy, everyone and their mom would be an affiliate marketer.

You've got so many more things you can test.

For one, multiple offers. Rotate through different offers to find one that might convert more than another. Some offers are just such crap that they never convert no matter how much traffic you throw at them. What I do for most my big campaigns these days is collect as many offers in the same niche and throw all my traffic at them, rotating them evenly. I might get 2-3 converters out of 10+ offers I'm rotating through.

Two, use a landing page. This allows you to create your own angle and spin on the ad copy, also, CPV might have limitations on the size of the landing page they show. I think directCPV might be interstitial pages, so you don't have as big of a size issue. I'm not sure, I haven't used them for years.

Interstits also make it harder to get clicks. You've got 5 seconds until they can continue through the page they were linked. After that, they won't see your landing page, unlike pop ups or pop unders that remain until they close the page themselves.

    3. You might just be targetting the wrong urls/keywords. Throw some more diverse targets at it. Find your demographic and see what sites they are hanging out at.

Overall your campaign is very inside the box. Taking a dating offer and targetting other dating sites. There are 10s of thousands of other affiliate marketers that have beaten that horse to death.

DirectCPV is not a great traffic source IMO..
With PPV I normally use URL's opposed to keywords

How much are you paying per view?
Have you tried rotating out the backend offer?

Im paying 0.015 per view. Rotating offer, does it mean that the same campaign, the same traffic source but changing the offer to analyze CR? Actually Im still stink to one offer only and hope it will make some conversion, maybe that is my big mistake right now.

DirectCPV is not a traffic source I would highly recommend, I've never heard a positive story about it, and didn't have much luck with it myself. I recommend sticking with LeadImpact and TrafficVance.

Regarding testing your campaign, you've barely spent any money in terms of testing, you will typically have to test multiple landing page, and offers, but finding a campaign is successful. It takes work, if it was easy everyone would be doing it.

Thank you guys. yes Im not quite a patient guy, moreover Im afraid of using LP since I dont have any knowledge in HTML.
Until this point I do think direct CPV is not a good traffic source, they did not ask me for anything like driving licence to active my account, I just got my campaign approved right away and spent 30 buck in next few hours. Im going to use POF for my next test.
