    Do not buy email lists.

    Simple as that.

Most of the time email lists that are sold on forums/ markets are normally just spam email addresses, or poorly collected.

You do not know how they got each email, and how targeted they really are.

You are better off just building one of your own; don't take any shortcuts.

Perfect advice. Just don't do it.

Like guys above me said - do not buy it. Period.

those are mostly low quality email lists, unresponsive at the best. at the worse, there is a lot of false emails. You also don't know how do they got those lists which they are trying to sell you.
    Stay away.

I'd stay as far away as possible, only use lists that you build on your own

Never Buy any list. None will sell quality list to others.

The correct answer is "Only buy data from reputable sources, and only if you really know what you're doing"

Many very high volume mailers buy their data from third party feeds.

You just need to be absolutely sure how the data was collected, how many times it's being sold etc.

However, to mail data of this sort, you need to know what you're doing, this is not the kind of mailing that you can do with AWeber / Mailchimp etc.

    Just think about it...
If their email list is good, why would they sell it if they can make hundreds from it?

Be careful buying email list. I did that several years ago and my auto responder account got shut down. Biggest problem is you never really know how many times that list has been sold.

I definitely understand what everyone is saying about not buying email lists. I don't know if I totally agree with this though.

I actually know a guy who started his email list by purchasing a list of several thousand from someone else. He was really happy with the list he bought.

If you want to buy a list you should probably network and meet some people who have bought lists that worked for them and find out how they did it. I definitely wouldn't just jump in and do it.

Until those people (if they are people) opt in to your list you will be guilty of spam by sending to them.
Use solo lists that you can send to properly targeted email addresses.
