If you're not yet sure what it is you're trying to do, then that would be the first thing you should figure out. Define a goal and from there, work backwards. Find out what steps you should take in order to reach that goal. Check out your available options and decide which ones to take, considering your strengths, weaknesses and what you currently have.

Since you've started with CPA, let's say your goal is to make $10,000/mo.

For most people, this can't be done in the first month. So an immediate goal of making at least $100 at the end of your first month would be a realistic one. Then you will just have to grow that from there.

So then, what will you have to do to reach that immediate goal? Check your options - what are the offers available to you in the CPA network you've applied with? Decide on which ones you think you can promote best.

For example, if you are in the US and you have a lot of social media friends who possibly eat fastfood, a McDonald's $50 coupon offer in exchange for their email, might sound a good one for you. If you don't have this kind of offer in your CPA network, there's gotta be something else there that you can promote.

If you've picked an offer based on how you can promote it well, then the next thing you have to do is of course, start doing it - promote the offer(s) you chose.

If you haven't decided on how you are going to promote it, then it's time to make up your mind already. If you think you have to make your own website, then proceed with it. Will you need to write your own content? Do it if you think you have to.

If you think you need some software to promote your offers, then get them.

That should "nudge" you in a certain direction. Unfortunately, I can't tell you a certain right direction because the "right direction" is subjective. It depends on the person. Some strategies work well on some people but terribly on others.

Anyway, it's also worth keeping in mind that you can't always expect to be able to do all these things overnight. Depending on your learning capacity, it might take you only days or it might take you months or years before you see positive results.
