CPV Image Lander options

I've seen a lot of great looking CPV landing page lately.

Some are screen shots of the CPA offer with some text and buttons replacing the sign up form, some are coupons, and some are way out there but look like they'd work.

The question I have is - A lot of them seem like they'd just be images put on a blank HTML page.

Is that the case? Or are they taking the image and converting it an HTML template? Am I going to have load time issues if I use just an image?

(I realize file size matters and I'd do what I can to keep that down - but as a general rule - which is better to use)

Much better to lower the files size of the lander.

I personally run my image landers through photoshop and reduce the size of the images by saving for "web and devices".

But it is always better if you can use text instead of a image with text if applicable on the lander to reduce the file size.

As you might know, reducing the overall size of the lander increase the conversion rates usually.

    On a side note:

It is also a good idea to check the landers of the cpa offers you are running from network to network and from offer to offer.
Each page has a different load time and can in some instances affect conversion rates.

You can do this by using whichloadsfaster:
    Which loads faster?
