There is so much international inventory of content network with Google that I i have been paying 1 penny for traffic from brazil & 2 european countries. So here's my take how you can benefit and add your comments if you done well with international offers.
  1. Pick an international CPA offer from any of the CPA networks like 7search, Azoogle, MaxBounty or anyother.
  2. Search for Keywords using google's keyword tool. If you picked a non-english speaking country from earlier step, make sure you select native language within the keyword tool.
  3. Next, create the ad-copy in English and then translate into native language using any of the translation tools, like Google's Translate, translate.google.com
  4. Create Google's content text ad only for 1 country at a time using above keywords and ad-copy.
  5. For international offers you can get content traffic much much cheaper than US (sometimes for a penny)
  6. I have seen on my ads lower CTR if I do split test on 2 or more ads on content, rather I create a single adgroup per adcopy.
  7. Once your content text ad is getting good conversions create another adgroup for image ads
  8. Place image ads on only those sites that you saw conversions for text ads. You can do this my running performance report.

While I agree with you that international offers work (i do them), I disagree on using google's translate service. You will get jibberish out of it and you will make sales from such translations but you will get much better conversions if you pay someone in that native language to do the translation.

Yes good point, the online translate service would be no match compared to native speaker. I have tried portuguese & spanish from google's translate and both seem to be fine so far. I used to use altavista before, not sure how they are now.
Are there any other free online translate tools?

There is freetranslation.com as well. I'm a native Spanish speaker so it's all good on my end

Thanks for sharing. can you offer advice on offer selection please. I am new to the content network so some general advice would be appreciated. Also whats your opinion on banners composed of text only, rather than texts adds.

      Hi PPCExpert,

thanks for sharing this tip, I've started cosidering using international traffic myself in order to get cheap clicks and every piece of information about it helps.

      I have two questions though:
      1. You say that you pay a penny, but is it like that from the beginning or do you have to bid higher in order to get traffic running? How much do you bid at the beginning of a campaign?

      2. What kind of offers work well on international markets? If you can throw or bone or two about it I'll really appreciate it :-)

      3. There was another post by someone named Khalif who said that he uses junk keywords in foreign language to get uber cheap clicks in the US (!).
What kind of keywords do you use? How do you target your audience?

      Thanks a lot,
      Doron.

Nice info, thanks. However, I do agree with Sleaklight about the right translations. What I mean by that, is that with a translation tool you'll maybe get the "correct" way to translate your ad-copy, and that may work. But I believe it would be much more effective if you translate in a way that speaks directly to your target audience. There are certain words and expressions that are original to the target's country, and probably only people who speak the native language of that country know them well enough to know how to use them effectively and speak directly to the target audience.
For example, what do you think, if you were to promote something to the swiss teenager audience, would be more effective? Having your ad in neutral German, or writing an ad in the swiss dialect of German using words and expressions that are spoken regularly by folks of that age?

    Something to think about
