How many impressions do you reach before you decide?

I'm currently using LeadImpact to go to my landing page. It's a simple one email sign up page.

The question is, how many impressions per keyword do you reach before you scrape that keyword?

I have a few keywords that have over 400+ impressions (ie. views) each and they got me no sign ups.

I know that there isn't a hard-and-fast rule on the numbers but I would like to hear from your experience.

If you've spent amount of the payout on a single target and gotten no conversions, that's a pretty good indicator you should scrap it.

Well, I'm not running a CPA but to build a list via PPV.

From my tracker, the top 5 keywords with most views (1400+ views) gave me zero sign ups. But I have 2 keywords with only 10+ views each and they gave me one sign up each.

So does that mean that I should stop the top 5 keywords first as 1400+ is too much to waste?

just because its bringing huge traffic does not mean those keywords are good for your offer, pause this keywords and increase your bid on the converting keywords

      hope it helps

After spending 2x the offer's payout in testing, I will try a new variation of the landing page or a new offer... or remove the keyword/URL.

    1) Just because your primary purpose is to build a list doesn't mean you shouldn't be selling something after opt in

    2) YES! 1500 pops and no conversions is way to many. Especially when you don't know what your customer value is.... If you knew every lead was worth $XX... then it might be worth it to you to get 1 opt in for 1500 pops, but you'd have to have a really good funnel in place to do that.

Hmm. I wouldn't have a set number in my head, but I would be comparing it to my experience with every other keyword I've ever tried and compare and contrast. If there's a major discrepancy with results, I would scrap it and try some other keyword.

(if it's been x amount of days and you've usually seen results with every other keyword by day x)

I do it based of off amount sent and not impressions. Once the cost for the target has reached the offer payout, if I don't have a conversion with the target I will pause it

    Thanks for the response!

From my stats, it seems like for the past 4 days these 5 keywords took up 90%+ of my budget with zero conversion. I'll pause them and let the "smaller traffic" keywords take their place.

Yup, I remove the top 5 keywords with the most impressions today. Now the traffic is moving slower BUT I get 3 optins today. Not a bad move!
