Hello everyone, i'm new to this forum. I'm quite familiar with the internet and additionally i'm also a tech savvy person thanks to owning a few game servers, websites and such in the past.

I have $1,000-2,000 to invest. My intent is to make good income. What recommendations can you guys make to me on what method of advertising to take? What would you invest $1,000-2,000 in if you were going to do the same thing?

Thanks.

You can always invest in stocks with that sum of money. If you aren't wall street savvy, then you can invest in me

Investing in new start-ups, joint venture projects or just clickbanking / CPA with the money for advertising and hosting cost.

The $2,000 is plenty for advertising. Make sure that you to build your own list, so you don't waste every cent. Maybe you can get around 4,000 new leads with budget $2,000. So you can offer anything to your list several times.

Himanuzo, how are your generating new leads at a rate of $0.50 per lead? That is really good (or I am just really bad!) My typical is $5-$6 per email signup.

      Thanks!

I'd suggest that you refrain from spending any money until you figure out how to make money without spending anything (literally). Once you figure it out, you will clearly see how you can use your budget to make even more money

Choose a business model that interests you and do some research. You won't have to spend as much as $2000.

Do you have any experience in marketing in general? you say you come from the gaming industry - why no spend your money on creating a game related niche site. Gaming is a huge market and there are plenty of offers and products that can be promoted to such a crowd.

I would (and do) build an authority site and get some good seo done. Break it down into $600+ a month. Find a great "niche" writer for x10+ 1000 word articles p/m, pay for whitehat drip feed SEO packages to each. After the 3 months you will be getting good traffic that can be monetized in various ways. It is not quite as simply as that but you get the idea?

....Then build several smaller sites to act as your personal PBN.... sshh

I would suggest starting off with reading and doing some more reading.

I'm big fan of PPV ads, and there is a lot of guides for them available online. That is where I would start currently if I were to start all over again.

My main goal wouldn't be just to make money, but it would be to completely master the traffic source I am working with. Strive to be an expert at it.

I'd look into ppv, ppc, facebook or pof to start. I'd start with offers that pay around 3-6$ a lead so it doesn't cost too much to start and test.

With that amount you can aim for some highly paying products and use the most quality traffic (PPC) to promote them. If you build solid campaigns you will be able to make a killing shortly after that. My advise would be to consider products in the financial niche.
Any questions - just let me know!

I would say get into PPV because it is one such traffic source where there are no rules and restrictions like other sources.

Building an email list is definitely where the money is in IM. BUT, IMO, promoting dating offers is as easy as it gets to get started.

The kind of copy you need to write to promote dating offers is pretty simple. Once you get into list building and email marketing, your copy needs to be a little more refined.

Spend some time reading around this forum and you'll figure it out. Just stay away from those magic bullet/easy cash methods...

Yes, once always keep the list and long term in mind. Look to build a business, not just make $X a day. This will give you stability.

List building. Simple as that. Create a great free offer, promote it, get emails and start to build relationships with them. From there on, if you do it correctly and smart, you can go only upwards!
