How to Make PPC Profitable?

Hi, just wondering about PPC, (Pay Per Click) or Adwords, it seems with adword costs going into the hundreds, that l either need a very high priced product or bundle or a truck load of different products, in order to get past the costs?

Has anyone had any recent success?

I am thinking about doing a few hundred beach party flyers on a dedicated site, then directing adwords traffic towards it. Or charging about $5 for, print for a beach party or do for 1 client.

And possibly $25 each to resell?

Appreciate some feedback! :p

Can you re-explain your product, not sure if I understand? You print flyers for people?

But anyways PPC and Adwords still works great!

Well, l have about 750 high quality backgrounds and models, shells, birds, etc, but l have to put them into a beach party flyer format in order to get around their rules, (can't sell their background images by themselves)!

So, l create a google adword, friendly site, with an index of flyers with different background, then on another page a list of flyers with different flower elements, so l end up with a site with several hundred flyers.

PPC would probably cost a good $200 - $300 for 100 visitors, so l need to do a lot of these things to make a profit.

Not sure how many though, but l agree Adwords converts, and Bing never has, at least for me!

I am just selling the flyers, the customer has to chance it, or print it for their party events!

Adwords will give you some awesome, very targeted traffic, which is why sometimes the price can be a bit high. But that depends on how good your conversion funnel is.

I 2nd FB as a good source of targeted traffic as well. With the right ads and funnel, you can do great on that platform. It's also a good testing ground for whatever you're promoting. If you can get it to work on Facebook, then changing a few things here and there and then taking it to Adwords is a good strategy. You get it to then work on Adwords, then taking it to Bing will be a breeze.

I think you should focus on a market which has a much bigger potential that flyers/stock footage, etc. The trick with CPA really is to find markets which have a huge demand for good quality leads ... and pay a big lump sum for each referral.

Mind you, that's referral (as in call in, enquiry, quote request, etc) ... NOT sale!

That will increase your profit margins big enough in order to also being able to spend big on adwords

    Keyword : TEST TEST TEST

At one point you'll become so strong that you won't have to worry about ROI and you'll never loose.

      Not really interested in CPA!

And l could expand into other areas, eventually?

I might be creating flyers, but some customers will buy a flyer to get a cleaned up shell, or background!

Shutterstock, charge $50 for 5, or $10 each, and Photodune charge about $6, (usually without cleaned edges around the model, etc). I will charge $5 with professionally cleaned elements.

And possibly $25 each for resale rights, instead of $300, (Graphicriver av, full rights cost).

If l sell, "make money" or even "health" then Google may eventually slam me, for violating this and that, but flyers are pretty safe!

The only other thing l could do is pay someone to do software, like WP apps, but they keyword costs are very high, and it would take a lot of time and money to get it going.

A good idea for a programmer, not so good for someone like me!

Graphicriver use Adwords for their SEO, and have some of their members make 100,000k a year at least, so l believe that it is a viable option!

Especially since flyers are their dominant source of income!
