Teespring: 2 Days, 2 Sales - Should I continue?

Hi Guys,

I launched a teespring campaign 2 days back with fb ads.

Until now, I have received 2 sales.

Should I continue with the Campaign? I have invested approximately $25 in ads until now.

Also, if I continue, should I invest more on the same ad or try targeting different keyword variations?

If yes, what should be the maximum budget for each ad and how many should I be running at the same time for each campaign?

Apart from trying different ad graphics, what should I do to increase sales for a campaign which has already sold 2 or more?

Thanks a lot in advance.

It's all about ROI / money in - money out. If it's not profitable, abort.

I had this same issue and got advice from Nishant, owner of Tee Cash Kit.

The advice (and it's not written in stone, but it's his way of operating):

He invest $10-$15 initially and expects at least 2-3 sales (depends on your profit margin). If he gets it he'll increase his budget to about $25-$30. If sale slow down, he'll either dump it or pause it (I think it's to let the deadline creep up...you can also remind the prospects on the landing page and / or Ad post page that the sale is ending.)

If NO sales, he'll pause the ad until Thursday or Friday (I guess there's more viewers). If still no sales he'll abandon the campaign.

Hope that helps and good luck with future campaigns.

As SlfMastery said it's really all about Money In vs Money Out. If you aren't in a positive profit after 2 days with that campaign its not very likely you will ever be in profit with it. You can try testing different age groups on fb and seeing if any perform better than the other.

I usually set a $15 dollar budget on all of my beginning campaigns.

If I am in profit (or close to it) after day 1 I will keep it going to see what happens. If I have absolutely no sales I will usually kill it. If you get 1 sale you will really have to make a judgement call and if you wan't to let it ride out keep a close eye on it and make sure you don't lose a lot of money on it.

Testing campaigns gets easier as you go but it does require a lot of patience to learn how to make things work.

    Hopefully that makes sense!

Thanks a lot Charlie and Wesleywinter...

I think it's all about trial and error. I like the idea of pausing the campaign until deadline.

Moreover, I have also seen that both the sales happened at a specific time of the day. I guess the most effective buying time is also a factor that should be considered along with proper targeting.

With $25 spend, I am already in loss until now. I will try for one more day with variation in targeting.

Thanks a lot guys for the advice.

You've got 2 sales on a $25 ad spend. Not bad, but not great. But you can turn it around depending on a variety of factors.

    What is your bidding? OCPM?

Usually, if I've got 2 sales on a $30 ad spend, it's not necessarily a HOME RUN type of campaign, but I've been able to turn around many "losing" campaigns... 1 recently was a campaign where I had only 3 sales on a $80 ad spend... $50 in the hole... when the campaign ended we turned that loser into a 150% ROI.

You've got to look at the data, bid right, and let FB do the rest.

    Hi JCorp

I am doing Manual CPC and bidding around $0.40 CPC.

Should I be doing oCPM for teespring campaigns???

    Thanks in advance!

It's different for everyone... for the most part, I like going in with OCPM at least at first. CPC works as well... also CPM, but it also depends on your audience size.

As you can see, you were able to get 2 sales from $25 using CPC. I'm assuming you're making a rough estimate of around $10 per tee? If so, you've got $20 with a $25 ad spend on CPC. Look in your reports and see if those 2 sales came from the same demo... if not, keep running your campaign, say another $10 and hopefully you get another sale to be able to give you more data to drill down your audience with.

Try to optimize your ads. Also, take a look at your total Facebook ad frequency. I normally start to see decline in sales or sometimes literally 0 sales in a day when I hit around 1.5 ad frequency and up, which means that most of my audience already saw my ads, and Facebook is starting to show my ads to the same people.

That's a smart thing globalexpert...I used to think, higher frequency is good... but then its the other way round i guess.. at least for teespring campaigns...Thanks for this info!!

Make sure you track results too with their tracking pixel. Then run a report and start weeding out the bad age groups.
