Question on Split Testing in Facebook

Hey guys I'm fairly new to facebook advertising and I'm having issues with some split testing I'm working on.

I have 5 identical ads, the only difference is the image used in each.

I want to display these an equal amount of times to get an accurate split test. The problem is some ads are being displayed thousands of times, where others are not being displayed at all.

They are all in the same campaign and same ad set, with different ads created under the ad set.

I have attached an image of what I mean. Anyone know how I can make sure each ad is displayed equally?

It seems this answers my question: https://www.facebook.com/help/commun...52988283170078

I don't trust fb to "pick a winner" so I have paused the ads with most impressions and kept the ones barely getting any active to see which performs better. I will post my findings.

Just a suggestion, but maybe try changing the copy in a couple too not just the image. Might as well go all out with the testing to get a better idea of what works best.

    Good luck!

Hey, you have to put them in each in separate ad sets or FB will run the show.

You're right not to trust FB haha - they're not in the business of helping us, only themselves.

**I don't always make it back to check on threads, so if you'd like me to elaborate feel free to PM me, I try to make sure to check my inbox regularly and am happy to help..

I wouldn't have pulled a $9k week w/Teespring etc without the help of others, so it's time to pay it forward.
I can make a little room in my life for that. ;)

Hey Joe, my justification for doing only the image is to eliminate as many variables as possible. After testing which image converts the best I will begin testing which headline, which target audience, etc. Hope that makes sense!

Ok I now have one ad set with my four image ads I'm split testing, and then four individual ad sets with one image ad in each.

I'm going to run them side by side so I can get some insight into FB's process.

I will post results for anyone that is interested
