How does your budget effect your targeting options in Adwords?

Hi,

My website targets users from a majority of different countries around the world. I'm having a hard time seeing how much of a budget I should put towards each country I'm targeting in Adwords. I would like to be able to just target all countries but I know that I would need a massive budget to pull this off.

How does your budget effect your targeting options in Adwords?

How detailed do your campaigns get in regards to targeting options with different budgets you set up?

Thank you!

Most effective Adwords budget allotment is all about what's working and what isn't, along with application of the 80/20 rule...

    My suggestions:

    * First and foremost: Make sure you have Google Analytics (or equivalent tracking) on the site, and set up analytics conversion goals to measure how well your visitors are taking the action(s) you want them to take.

    * Link your Google Analytics and Adwords accounts, and import key conversion goals into Adwords. You could just use Google Adwords conversion tracking code, but if you don't link analytics and Adwords you will the lack the ability to import useful analytics data into Adwords (bounce rate, etc.)

    * Once you have some Google Analytics (and/or Adwords) performance data, you can find out which countries work best at bringing targeted traffic that converts.

    * Allot more budget to the better converting countries, and less to countries that don't convert as well.

That's a birds eye view of the process, in a nutshell.
