Linkedin ads, anybody had any success?

So I'm running some Linkedin ads, and I'm wondering if anybody has ever managed to get any substantial success out of them. I noticed the CPC is very high, I'll probably let 100 clicks run and see what happens, but it'd be interest in hearing if anybody's had any success (if any).

Thanks!

I once ran a campaign on linkedin maybe it was 2 years ago, the CPC is crazy! My CPC was like $2-$3 per click.. Never went back to linkedin ads again.

I've tried it before - just didn't work at all for me and the type of products I tend to promote. Traffic quality may be there if you get the targeting right but ONLY with the correct product and business plan. But considering it's like facebook for business people, I think you are very limited to what you can do with it from an Affiliate Marketing/CPA/CPL perspective.

Any questions just let me know

I would agree with markhere, the value in linkedin ads is not there. You will be better off spending your money elsewhere.

We sell a B2B service, so Linkedin is our ideal market really. We do very well with Adwords but the CPC in Linkedin is much more expensive so we'd need even better results to make it financially worth it. Will have to do some testing though as lead quality might be much better than Adwords.

    We'll see.

I've had success with LinkedIn Ads.

CPC can be very high, but what I did was used CPM and then created very targeted ads. You have the ability to target based off of location, profession, age and company.

So, instead of creating an ad that would target all of the Financial Advisors in the United States... I would create CPM ads that would target Amerirpise Financial Advisors who are located in New York.

Creating these specific ads knocked my CPC to under $1. See screenshot below.

I've tried it - unless you are running a job based CPL product with at least £30 per lead, it will be VERY hard to run a profit.

Absolutely Nick got it spot on...for one to succeed with Linkedin ads you need to target the LI audience properly and that is where only a handful of niches might work but from what i know only Biz opp offers might work well with the LI traffic.
