Hi all,

So I am about to test run an Adwords campaign and want to run it by the Warrior community first:

1. I've created one adgroup with 800 related keywords.
2. I have 8 ad variations.
3. Targeting U.S. Only on desktop and mobile (half of my ads are mobile optimized).

Note: my site sells shirts, sweatshirts, tote bags with designs related to the niche of the related keywords in 1 above. My thought process is get cheap clicks from many keywords relating to the niche with "buy" oriented ads. I know this will result in a lower ctr on my ads but I hope to make up for it with a lot of keywords and a high conversion rate by testing ad variations. Obviously after the test, I will remove poor performing keywords and ads.

After my own financial analysis with the keyword planner, my break even appears to be about 0.5% conversion with 15 cent max cpc (low competition keywords and average estimated cpc of 6 cents per google).

If anyone sees any fatal flaws with this plan please let me know! Any tips would also be appreciated.

Thanks,
The traveler.

The way you've built your campaign does not allow you any optimisation at all. I would suggest you to use much more ad groups with less keywords and ads. Also the keyword planner will not give you any accurate data, you will have to enable your campaigns and collect some information first.

IMO too many keywords, not enough ads..
How have you set your adgroups up?
