Facebook PPC vs Sponsored Post

Hello, I have been researching Facebook advertising in my attempt to learn CPA marketing. So far, all of my efforts have been dedicated to PPC.

For anyone who has tried PPC and sponsored post on Facebook, which in your experience provides more quality traffic and which offer the better price?

    It sort of depends on what you're looking to promote.

    If what you're selling is fulfilling an existing market demand, traditional PPC (I assume you're referring to search advertising) is likely going to be a better bang for the buck. For example, if you're selling refurbished golf clubs, PPC generally hits someone at the point of greatest demand.

    If you're creating demand where none previously existed, Facebook can work really well. For example, if you've created a new service that's awesome, but people don't know they need it (like Pandora or Spotify a few years ago), Facebook is going to be more cost-effective.

    In each case, your mileage may vary by the competitiveness of where you're trying to achieve visibility.
