The myth and misconception of "auto pilot"

This is kind of just a thought and not a prepared post so bare with me..

I keep reading on several different places (facebook, twitter, blogs, forums, etc) about the need and want for "auto pilot" scripts and packages, etc. Really when I read this I kind of read between the lines and think typically the person doesn't want to work to make money. I'm sorry if this offends anyone, this is not my intent.

I am thinking of this in a different way. Right now I am not home, I am up North 3-4 hours away from my house at my cottage and thinking what a great industry this is. (Unfortunately I am missing ASE, but prior family commitments come first).

Anyways back to this. I am not considering myself on auto pilot. I spent lots of time setting up what I have now, really one key to success is to build systems and processes. I have several systems in place for building campaigns, researching niches, building lp's, etc. They did not come quick or easy, they took a very long time. But it was worth it, now when trying something new I just following the system i have in place and it's not easy but it's logical and is one of the shortest paths to success.

Part of this is once I have campaigns or websites started, once they pass the initial tests and optimization (they still constantly get tested and optimized) they go into brief monitoring phase where I need to check on them "once and a while" just to ensure they are still making money. The great thing is I can do this from a tablet, phone, etc, I don't need to be at a computer.

So anyways, while I am sitting here at the cottage typing this post I am making money off my campaigns which I setup in the past (some recently, some a while back, etc). It's not auto pilot but it's a great feeling to see money come in based off of my previous work.

Again, I hope this doesn't rub anyone the wrong way, I am more or less hoping to motivate people into stop looking for the quick and easy way to make it rich and go for building long term sustainable businesses.

Have a great one everyone! (enjoy ASE if you are there)
