How to set CPC correctly on bing ads?

Hi guys,

Recently I read penny click ebook from another Warrior here about penny click to get less CPC from bing ads, less than 5 cent per click.
I try to create new campaign and set my CPC for 10 cent per click
But the result surprising me...

I got $12.54 charge from 9 click only = over $1 CPC

So how to set max CPC less then 10 cent?
Any body here can help and explain to me?

Thanks

You can easily set your maximum bid at whatever you like at the keyword level which should override any bid set at another level or tier ... however, you might not be able to get any traffic on all your keywords unless you bid more.

However, if you have set a maximum per click you shouldn't be charged more than that. If you did, open up a ticket and ask them what happened. You might be entitled to a refund if you indeed set a maximum bid but were inadvertently charged more.

Also check if your bids might have been set to AUTO which could also have influenced this, especially if you selected a specific ad position you want to be shown at. If so it could have changed your bids accordingly as well.

But best to ask them as technically, a manually set max bid in PPC should never be exceeded regardless

Max CPC for Bing ads seems to be extremely bugged. It could possibly have to do with applying certain keywords CPC's but there was evidence that this was not the case.

I would recommend getting out of Bing and moving to AdWords.

Not only does Google control almost 70% of the search market but there are nearly zero flaws in the system itself. By flaws I refer to ease-of-use and the learning curve involved.

The problem with Bing is that
    A) 17% of the search market controlled.
    B) Influx of users to Bing is significantly lower than Google (Google sees probably 20 billion unique searches per year)
    C) Completely inferior to the combination of AdWords & Analytics

Get away from Bing and switch to Google. You'll never have a CPC issue ever again as long as you either know how to use AdWords or hire someone to run campaigns for you. Google's reach has extended even further as now AdSense is available on major eCommerce sites like Walmart.

Bing has customer support, and that'd be the best place to ask what you did wrong if you were charged over $1 per click with a $0.10 max CPC set. If that's what happened, you're owed a refund.
