I am about to try out some media buying. Any advice on what offers to promote, placements, how to covert, or anything else?

i will advice you to first find something that works. trying something and then another will quickly burn $500.

You can first with adspy network (example adbeat) means check what is working for other advertisers. once you found something that works you can then create a campaign of your own.

I think you will get more profits if you join to a CPA network and promote offers with high EPC.
SiteScout has good and quality traffic. You will have nice ROI

Okay, I can do that. Any niche works better with media buys in Sitescout?

That really cleared up everything for me. I'll think I'll have a $10,000 day now.

I'd suggest you start with a controlled retargeting campaign to start. It is probably the most effective tactic to begin with, and it will let you get comfortable with the platform (planning, creating a campaign, then optimizing) before moving on to other tactics like audience, contextual, mobile, and site-based campaigns (which tend to increase in scale and spend velocity in roughly that order).

Target wisely and make sure you optimize your campaigns based on the initial results of your campaigns (3-day or 1 week campaign). It's all about in the optimization. But, to be honest, $500 is not a lot of money to spend on media buy. You need offers that will give you higher % of conversions for this to work.

Very broad question - but if you go with media buying you will be jumping into display advertising on high-traffic sites. What converts best on like these sites like newspapers for instance is mainstream products that appeal to the general masses. Think 25-55 year olds as a demographic.

Gambling works well on sports pages, finance on financial pages, investment on business pages, fitness on diet and health sections ... that kind of stuff.

But as the traffic is so massive, you will run your budget dry fairly quickly as well.

Don't start with a broad campaign. I wasted quite a bit of money doing that. I would recommend starting with a niche (example: gaming) and then target sites specific to that niche.

with sitescout I would suggest to stick with CPA offers and test small and scale up what works, it's media buying though, you can burn the fund pretty quickly as everyone is saying!
