how to report when a competitor plays dirty?

Hi mates,
I have a brief question:
if you are an affiliate marketer and follow the rules of the advertiser, but see that your competitor does not follow the rules and plays dirty (it is to the advantage of your competitors which puts you at a disadvantage), how do you report?

1.Your AM should report?
2.You should report directly to the advertiser?

What would you tell the advertiser?

    What do you mean by playing "dirty"? Does this mean that he is clicking on your ads or is not following the rules of the network?

      I mean using creative and landing pages that do not respect the guidelines of the advertiser

    How do you know that your competitor works with your actual network and need to follow any rules? If he/she is violating any of Google Rules for example, they will not let him advertising. If you be more specific in your questions, I will be able to give you a better answer.

      I've shown my AM creative and landing pages of a publisher
      My AM told me that creative and landing pages do not respect the guidelines for this offer
      but my AM told me that he did not report anything

      then I think I should report it

    Sounds like that is a violation of the advertiser guidelines so that is who should be made aware of the issue.

    I would proceed with a bit of caution and make sure of your details before you repoert anything. Double check!

      Yes, my AM told me that your creative and landing pages do not respect the guidelines of the advertiser.

      I thought he was going to report it to help me have less competition but he said he did not report anything.

    Personally, I would report them.

    But if you are not sure or you don't want to come across as you are pointing them out you could always contact your rep and politely "ask" them if this is a acceptable type of advertisement.

    If they say no, then you have your answer and you "reported" them in the process. If they do allow it, then you still get your answer.

    But that way you were just asking a question, not finger pointing.

    I'd say talk to your AM about it but it sounds like you've already done that. If the AM sees no problem with it than I would assume what your 'competitor' is doing is within the terms and conditions. At that point there's not much you can do.

    In general that's why affiliate networks use our software as well to check if affiliates are compilant. Imho it's good way to report as guidelines are there for a reason and it's hard to outbid someone who doesn't play by the rules.

    Believe me, it doesn't do any good to report it. Previously, I reported people that were running non-incentive offers on incentive sites and it fell on deaf ears. The networks and advertisers were making money so that's what mattered. They didn't care and didn't want to hear it. I actually ended up having problems because I reported it. It just stinks when you're working so hard, and doing everything right, and following all the rules, then somebody comes along who doesn't do any of that and the money just keeps rolling in for them.
