Can't we drive traffic directly to Landing page in CPA?

I've seen my CPA marketers making lead pages/websites and then diverting traffic to their main CPA offer landing page.

As, we all will be promoting any CPA Offer either through Google, Bing or Facebook ads, can't we directly run ads and drive traffic to main landing page of any particular CPA Offer?

I'm pretty much new to CPA and I want to clear my doubts before making final call and starting promoting. Though, being into blogging and niche market, I'm capable of driving thousands of organic traffic per day.

Zac you can definately drive traffic straight to the landing page.
The issue is the inability to accurately track click-throughs and failure to presell or warm up prospective client.

On my network my affiliates make landing pages for nearly all offers. I've seen conversion rates skyrocket from a measly 10% from direct linking to 65% using a landing page.

    I say it's a must nowadays.

Are they just doing because of higher conversion rate or their only motto is to create their own mailing list, so that they can promote their other offers.

I feel that lead pages are good, but if somehow, say for email input lead offer, the potential visitor will not need much content.

      Don't you think so?

Any advice on whether to have the lead page capture emails or just link to the offer?

Honestly its hard for me to get past the notion that more clicks == more effort == people leaving. Though everyone says do a lead page for a reason I guess.

The idea is that you don't do these offers, there is a reason they are paying your for capturing emails - they are pulling a profit from the emails they gain. Instead do what they do. Or something like that. I'm a newb too.

      Totally agree.

Zac, naturally, there are pros and cons to each. But for long-term success, use your own landing pages and build your list.

For sure you're able to do that, but it's not necessarily always the best option. Pre-sell/squeeze pages can help you sell the offer while simultaneously building a list that can be used for future campaigns.

For best results, run with your own landing pages. More likely than not, you'll get higher conversions using landers.

This also gives you more room to test and tweak your conversion rates for even better results.

Yes you can direct link but in 99% ot the cases you will be more profitable by using a LP.
LP is used to presell your visitor and bridge the angle your using to promote an offer.

Eg: Lets say you are promoting a dating offer and you want to use gaming as your angle. There are not any specific dating sites for gamers. However, you build a LP around the gaming angle and link it to a generic dating offer.

This can yield in a good conversion rate.

You might be thinking that if you build a LP thats an extra step the visitor has to take but you will be qualifying the visitor for the offer. Only people truly interested in what you are promoting will click through to the offer and hence the better conversion rates.

    Hi Zac, welcome to CPA
your own landing page will provide you such advantages:

1# Visitors never seen this LandingPage so that he shows interest
2# You don’t lose that bought visitor
3# You can keep that visitor permanently by capturing lead
4# You can provide value by lead magnet (offering free gifts)
5# You can keep sending values and new offers, so same visitor converts again and again
6# You can create sales funnel, test, track, have own control.
7# Your own domain remains familiar to Search Engine and Visitors

    And so on.....

You can, but often a well tested landing page will outperform direct linking. Better yet you could also collect emails and promote to your list over and over and over again (similar to reoccurring income)

There are many advantages behind landing pages, i will mention a few.
First of all marketing. Stats shows that landing pages convert better most of the times.
You can use your landing page again on a different offer on the same vertical.
Say you do date and you manage to make a supreme dating lander, but your network removes this offer.
You grab another dating offer from the same or another network, and you rebuild your lander in no time.
It will have the same "theme".
Redirection. When you expand you can have traffic from many places, EU and US,
but most offers accept traffic from either us or eu.Again in no time you can duplicate your lander, have your
US traffic direct to Offer-A, and your EU traffic in Offer-B.
Some traffic sources like Google require you to have a lander.

if you have a website with lots of traffic you should try both to see whats best, with a LP and without a LP, you would be surprised on seeing how much this affects convertions

    Cheers

Of course you can. But find out about offers requirement and CPA network requirements. It s actually best to liaise with you affiliate manager for what is acceptable.
