CPA PPV/PPC Affiliate Marketing - Starting out

Hey thanks for reading.
I am brand new to Internet Marketing, and have decided to spend my mid twenties learning and mastering the in and outs of IM. Rather than pouring energy, money, and time into a college education I would much rather exert those efforts into grasping the "IM" process of making a living. I once before attempted drop shipping, but was too immature and too hasty to properly tackle it, and my mindset was stuck in a "results oriented" paradigm. I understand that this is a process, and have accepted whatever learning curve lies ahead.
For right now, I have been researching the different models and processes before sticking to one.

So far Im aware of the following:

--Platforms--
Facebook Ads
Bing ads
Google
PPV Networks

--Methods--
CPA PPV
CPA PPC
(I have checked organic methods and feel the paid traffic is a better route)
Unaware of any other methods

--Niches--
Have not started looking

My understanding of the systems so far:

Cost Per Action - I understand this is a method of getting paid by action taken, and that PPV/PPC are tools to generate CPA income. (correct me if Im wrong)

PPV - Pay per view.

PPC - Pay per click.

I have checked for a bunch of information online, but am concerned with where to start.
Im thinking I should start off with a CPA affiliate program, and familiarize myself with PPV as a tool. I also considered using clickbank and PPC via facebook as a way to start as well.

Any advice, tips, suggestions, resources, would be great!

Thanks

Unless you have a decently large pile of cash you can lose to learning, I would strongly recommend not starting out with paid methods. CPA can be a great method to start with, and it is also the easiest to scale once you start having successful campaigns.

    Hello sixohs;

Most of what you listed are methods of driving traffic.

To start making money online you have to:

    1. Link people who are looking to solve a problem to a product that will solve their problem.

    2. You need to understand how people look online to solve their problems - one major way is through searches on Google or other online search engines.

    3. Understand that search engine results come up in the form of websites, and from there real people would select a website they think may solve their problem.

    4. Be aware of the different methods to get your product in front of real people who are looking for solutions - these include having your own website / blog or using someone else's website as an affiliate or partner.

    5. You also need to be aware of the different methods of driving targeted traffic to the website or blog and how to combine those methods into an internet marketing strategy.

ArticlePrince is right about the amount of cash you have to be ready to pay for your "education" and data.

Some PPV traffic provider required $1,000 as initial deposit.

From what you write, you just touch the Coverpage of CPA.

There are a lot more things to learn : Tracking, Setting Campaign, Angle, Split Testing, Trends, and many more.

    Resources
lukepeerfly . com is a blog you can check out.
stackthatmoney . com is a paid forum that you can join to learn even more. (It's not cheap)
    alchebank . com

I've been doing CPA, since CPA networks existed. 90%+ of all the money I have made doing it, has come from Lead generation. Some acronyms are CPL: cost per lead / PPL: pay per lead. Whatever you want to call it, IMHO, it's hard to beat for many reasons.

There's nothing to sell (no credit card required). You just have to get users to fill out a form to receive information on whatever the lead was for. So typically you are going to see higher conversion rates VS selling a product. There are plenty of decent converting leads that pay $20-$60 and more depending on the vertical that work well on a front-end campaign.

The best long term strategy is building lists. One of the pluses to this, is that that you do not need to send content or try and build a relationship with a lead generation list. They aren't spending money, so that know, like and trust factor doesn't really need to exist. So not having to do this, cuts your work load down. You just need to pre-frame your messages so they see the benefit that it could have on their life.

As far as building lists, I have always been a big fan of co-reg and buying lists. For lead generation it's hard to beat. With real-time you are paying a huge premium over buying data, but it's real-time and targeted to your exact offer. Where with buying data there's a lot more that goes into it, but the over all end cost is a fraction of the price. If you go this route, get the freshest / best quality that you can. In the end, it's all a numbers game. How many emails do you have to send to break-even on your acquisition cost? Once you break-even, the list then can generate consistent income at a very low cost effective price.

In case you are wondering how much can someone make doing this. I don't know anyone in the business and knows what they are doing, that doesn't make 6-7 figures net profit. It's just a matter of how much do you want to scale and how aggressive you want to be with your marketing.

I know it's a bit a different angle than your original post. Just something to think about.

You should check out Aff Playbook. It's the best source for anything PPV related. I think they have free training on their blog too.

Hey Sixohs, here is a good review how to earn at ClickBank with PPC Native Ads. I think the other channels of traffic may work as well.
