Monetising with Adsense and Pinterest- my plan...
I'm rebuilding my website to monetise it with Adsense, Amazon and other affiliate offers. Firstly I'm preparing the site so that it's ready to pass the Adsense checks. I aim to drive traffic to the site via Pinterest Pins (I have an account that I've been building for 3 weeks and it has 2000 followers and growing quickly now).
I have 12 high quality posts on my site (with another 4 to follow by the end of the week). All with creative commons and royalty free images. I have the terms and conditions, privacy policy, about, contact pages nearly ready.
I have heard that you should not put affiliate links or other 3rd partyadvertising on the site first before passing it to Adsense for approval. Obviously I don't know how certain my site is to be approved- I have read a number of guides about getting approval and I am following their advice and I think my site would be in good shape to get approved by the end of the week.
The choice to me seems to be that 1) I continue building it to submit for approval and then wait and see, or that I just 2) start monetising my site immediately with Amazon and other affiliate offers and start pinning stuff. If I did the first I'd hold off a week before putting in the affiliate links until I know I am approved or not approved- can anyone from past experience say that it's okay to put affiliate links onto the site once you have already been approved?
Also what Adsense alternatives are there- is there any other network that pays as well, or more?
