How Do I Make My Facebook Ads very Targeted?

Hy all,

Merry Christmas. How's the holiday going?

Just a quick question: how do I target people who are interested to start a self hosted blog in the Interest field of a Facebook ads?

I don't feel comfortable using a generic name like: blogging, wordpress.

Any thoughts?

    What other demographics do you know for sure? You might have to cast a wide net and qualify them through your sales funnel. I'd imagine your demographic is 18-35, income level of 24K - 55K, skews female, college educated and speaks English.

    If you start there with a small advertising budget, you A/B tests for small amounts each day where FaceBook automatically finds you traffic and starts optimizing their traffic acquisition. My friends are amazed at some of the gems that Facebook is picking up (through BigData research no doubt).

    If you have Kindle Unlimited, rent the book "How to A-B Test Your Way to Success:" The author talks about this strategy there.

    So, in this case, you might want to let the Facebook algorithms do their job for you and don't start spending significant sums of cash until you can see a consistent ROI from a campaign.

    When you target people on facebook ads you need to pick interest, jobs titles, topics etc'. you need to think is the combination of interests and topics that best fits the people you are looking to target.

    Think of it like this... what demographic of people are interesting in starting a self hosted blog? What age group? what other interests? etc... just trying to help you think outloud.
