How to join an affiliate network as a newbie?

Hi all, I'm new to affiliate marketing. I've done lots of reading and research about it, and even gone through a couple of Udemy courses, and now I'm looking to join my first affiliate network. But, I've heard a lot of stories about how hard it is to be approved on the big networks without any experience, and have also heard horror stories about people being applying and being rejected.

My question is: As someone with a good amount of (purely theoretical) knowledge, and a lot of enthusiasm, but no experience, which ad networks should I start with? Which are the most likely to approve me? Is there anything I can tell them during the approval process that will help my chances?

Thanks!

I've heard of people being rejected when they apply to Clickbank. What are they looking for in affiliate marketers?

I sure can - even though you might be a newbie, being brutally honest, professional and polite will go a LONG way with a new network and your affiliate manager.

So even though you might not have the marketing background or massive amounts of experience, your willingness to learn and the above mentioned assets will bring you right back on par with a seasoned affiliate from an approval perspective.

So chin up, chest out and keep us all posted mate - I have no doubt you won't have any issues when it comes to getting approved

If you like, I also have an online shop affiliate offer which is daily payment.

For newbie, you have 2 types to make money as an affiliate:

    - Selling digital product: I recommend Clickbank or Jvzoo.
    - Selling phisycal product: Amazon or Ebay.

All sites I recommend above is easy and free to join.

Important: You need to focus on just ONE network and niche in order to succeed.

    Enjoy!

I just wanted to say thanks again to everyone who was so encouraging on this thread. I just made my first sale on ClickBank, and never would have done it without all the help and motivation I got here. Thanks, everyone!

As far how hard it is to join, I would not say that all reputable networks are extremely hard to get into. If you have been able to generate subscribers before, it may be seen as a form of success. You should not lie but you want to show your accomplishment positively without necessarily going into the details. However, it seems to help if you have implemented some internet marketing before. Clickbank does not require an application but it may take longer or more traffic to get a conversion. When I started Clickbank may have been a network I joined.
