Hello everyone

Being that its some savvy net marketers on this forum. I have a question in regards to opt ins.

When campaigning offers is using a "rented" list a good start for someone who has not built a opt in list as of yet ?

If so.. does anyone have any recommendations for some good services ?

Thanks Everyone in Advance

It depends on what you mean by a rented list.
If its a targetted EZINE then by all mean use it, but if its a co-reg list I dont know if they will respond well to even more offers then they already get.

If your niche would be lets say, weight loss, the best thing you could do is search for a weight loss ezine, whip up a quick ad enticing them to complete your cpa offer and purchase some solo ads to see if it converts.

    Hope this helps

in my opinion, the best type of "rented" list is a safelist, but you want to send the safelist traffic to a squeeze page with your opt-in form on it for your own mailing list, that way you're converting the "rented" traffic to traffic you own (i.e. traffic from your own list as opposed to traffic from the "rented" list), there are also givaway events, but you have to have already have a list that's pretty big for someone just getting started to promote the giveaway event to

      Hello Brian,

If you decide to use a rented list make sure that it's
targeted to your niche or demographic. There are
tons of sources for those, just google them.

You could also find someone with a list and do a JV.

I agree, the last thing you want is you sales msg or page going out to a bunch of people who dont click through.. so if you could negotiate implementing a performance based fee then go for it..

And to be honest I think the list if way over rated..

I'm on a few marketers list.. and all I am to them is someone for them to try and sell me their affiliate crap.. a couple actually just send me info that is worthwhile.. but most just try and sell me rubbish they can make money on.. I end up Googling my own products and not buying from them anyway..

Exactly. I often go the extra mile to unsubscribe from their list.
They are such a pain. That's just about the only thing they get to do.
As if you won't be able to survive without their so-called offers.
